Time to start the audio stage of the rebuild now...
The main plan here is to stick with what I can as to be honest, im really impressed with the way the system is currently sounding and how loud it is...
The biggest change will be swapping the Mosconi's out for a pair of SPL Dynamics ICE 150.4's...despite being more powerful than the Mosconi's...im anticipating some SQ loss but to be honest...im not overly concerned about that at the moment...if im not happy overal...ill change them!
The only other change may possibly be a swap of the front end from CDT Eurosports...to im not sure yet...
The rest of the system will remain the same ultimately....although there aint much left lol! Which leaves the spec of the system as;
Pioneer P90RS headunit + DEQ90 Processor
Pioneer CD IB100 iPod interface
Pioneer CD UB100 USB interface
CDT ES01 tweeters (subject to change)
CDT ES04 midrange (subject to change)
SPL Dynamics ICE 150.4 x 2 (1 for the tweeters and the midrange, and the second bridged for the midbass)
Ascendant Audio Havoc 12" sub in custom built SPB enclosure
Tru Tech Hammer H-1 bass amp
Chord Company speaker cable (pure silver)
Knu Konceptz Fleks Power cable throughout
Knu Koncpetz FH-20 fuse holders
XS Power D2400 secondary battery
Thats about it...
This was the old install
The new 2012 Ascendant Audio Havoc 12
2012 vs previous Havoc

Amps going in
To keep the carbon theme going throughout the car, I added some carbon vinyl to the trimming...its really subtle but and looks great in reality!
Some better pics coming once Ive managed to get them off the camera

Honeymoon over! Made some progress with this now...
Managed to get the brake conversion done! Final conversion consisted of;
Mercedes C63 2010 AMG calipers
Full Merc fitting kit (all bolts brakets etc etc)
Mercedes AMG pads
VW Phaeton 360mm x 34mm discs
Custom braided brake lines
DOT5.1 brake fluid
First up was to drill the discs out for the 4 x 108 fitment....a BIG thanks to Steve B for helping out and letting me know what to do here!
Test fit
Then the hub had to be ground back a little to accomadate the different offset of the discs
Then it was time to play about with adapters/methods of getting the discs to fit in the middle of the caliper which was the biggest problem! But the head scratching and thinking paid off...
And then the standard brake lines wouldnt work with this caliper so I built some custom items
As you can clearly see there is no rubber on them to allow a secure fitment onto the shock, so I used the original ones off the original brake lines
Then BOOYYAAAA!!!!
How big are the discs and calipers???........
Some comparison shots coming soon!

Just a small update really that I seemed to have missed a while back...
I changed the interior light for a Ghia version which has 2 map reading lights in it as well.
Anyone who has done this conversion or used the Ghia light, will have noticed if you run LED bulbs, they dont illuminate due to the polarity being reversed. So I took out my Dremel and did a bit of cutting and then got the solder out to do some wiring, in the end, I ended up with a fully working Ghia light unit using LED's...unfortunately I didnt take any pics but heres what the back of the unit was like originally hence the need to cut
I also picked up a brand new gear knob as mine has a few marks on it
Fitted

Forgot to add my power graphs and figures...
These were done at Sabre Motorsport when the car was mapped quite a while back...still waiting for final mapping and to raise the rev limiter so the car can continue to make power
