why o why do i do it!!!!!
how bad is the shell mate by the looks of it you could still save it and keep another rs on the road from the pics that you put up all the panels that are shot to shit can still be bought if you want to re shell dont scrap that one untill some of us have had a look ok

the shell isn't the worst but it's by far not the best, Oli at NMS has just done a couple hundred quids worth of welding on it so I won't scrap it for the reason you said about keeping an escort on the road, it needs passer door and scuttle panel to make it look 'nice' but there still bubbles around the car!
Thanks, Joe

Little update.
Oli and Karl have done an outstanding job on the car from the pictures I've been sent by them, I can't thank them enough and I don't even have the car back yet, but I've heard it running over the phone which is good enough for me haha.. it should be next week though..Then the painful running in miles begins :/
Thanks, Joe

Thanks for the compliment beach,
I've got a cossie 4x4 T3 at the moment on the engine but it's only tempory, I'll run a NMS spec T34 when I've run it in..Hoping for 300+ and there's no reason why it wouldn't make it!
Stu, what filter, Dv and turbo you using? saw a video of it at pod and it sounds amazing!
Thanks, Joe

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
great project. when you had the 180hp, how much boost were you running? im intrested in getting a better spec turbo to replace the std t3, im only on mfi atm and want 180-200hp tops. would the turbo be for sale at any point? how much does an engine of that quality cost roughly? nms or jano would really be the only firms i would be comfortable with trusting on such quality work. lovely car btw. as for the finger, i should say that fucking hurt. done it a few times, in fact i lost my pinkie in the hinge side of a door, just at the base of the nail. it grew back to resemble a dogs cock

Long awaited update!
Ive travelled up to NMS today in the 106 to deliver my dash to them so it can be fitted before the rollcage is put in..Got a few pictures of the car and its the first time ive seen it since i dropped it off a few months ago, im speechless about it really and cant thank Oli and Karl enough really..
First thing i saw when i walked in was the car sat like this, didnt know what to think, Just thought that doesnt look to good..
The bodywork is coming on nicely and has made me speechless as to how well Oli's craftmanship is, i dont really know alot about body work and never seen it being done but going from before and after i can say its amazing..

Well ive finally got it back, i never thought id see the day to be honest! the engine is very very clean, the bodywork has been done but i need to machine polish it etc because theres loads of overspray on it but Oli did it for a small fee which im more than happy with so i wont be complaining!
I was told to run the engine in for 600miles minimum but ideally 1000miles, so ive done my 1000miles at the weekend on the way to RS @ Combe..On friday i found my wheel bearing was nakered and couldnt drive it around on it so i had a panic trying to get hold of one and change it before i set off early saturday for combe, but i found one and i was away!
Didnt really get much attention at combe because of the weather so i couldnt open the bonnet for long, but when i did i had a fair few come over to look at it which is pleasing!
Anyway im only running 0.5bar of boost, peaking at 0.7 and it goes very well indeed, i had a race with my mate in his 353bhp evo 6 and although he caught me, it was harder than he thought and he admited when i go up for my remap ill be flying past him
I dont have any pics yet as its rained everyday since i got it but ill be going to the SW Passionford meet so ill get some pics then..
I had some chavvy chrome exhaust plate on my bumper which ive carbon wrapped, i think it looks better anyway!
New baileys breather turned up:
Also had my 21st birthday on July 1st and had this cake made for me haha.
3 days ago i drove home from work and stopped for 30mins, then went out to pick the missus up and it wouldnt start, i had no ignition lights or anything, just dead..So the pain started i checked through every single earth connection, all the fuses and the wires, battery literally everything and couldnt work it out, then we thought it was the ignition relay but it wasnt so we decided we would put new wires from the ignition barrel to the relay, as we tried to pull the multiplug apart under the steering column the dash lights came on and off again so we thought it must be that, the thing is it was melted inside so we couldnt get it off, so with the help of my trusty flat head screwdriver i broke it off to find the melted connection, we just soldered the wires together taking out the plug and its back working! 3 days to find the fault though, i nearly gave up on it to be honest!
I'll get some pictures of the car soon!

Any guesses as to what the power will be?!!

Long overdue update.
I garaged it over the winter months and brought it back out around feb/march time..Been running nicely since then, i have blown 2 turbo's and a gearbox but apart from that all is good!
Ill put some pics up of how she is at the moment, i have a couple of plans for the summer but ive spent enough on it for a year so ill drive it around and do a couple track days and put her away again.
Booking it in with NMS sometime in the next couple of weeks for a new map on my T34, spoken to karl and ive decided to up the boost a bit from 14psi LOW and 22psi HIGH......To 18psi LOW and 27psi HIGH so should have a bit of fun with that..only reason im not going to run 30psi is because the reliability goes out the window and blocks start cracking etc etc!
Before Polycarbonate windows were fitted:
After windows fitted:

I doubt andy's escort will be running to soon, they have had wiring issues! It should go ok but it's only around 200bhp.
Ill let you know about coming down sometime.
