no hammerite will flack off !! its wank ,pm beefy as i carnt remember the name the stuff just for gear boxes and sure he new off it
por20 is high temp for alloy

i would power wash the gearbox spray some petrol over it to shaft the hard oil, then degrease an use hi temp aresol silver, putting on primers lacquer wil only chip easyer

I think this is the stuff I used mate. Think i got all my paints from the same place. when I did my underside resto. You can get it in spray cans as well.

a couple more of the front floor sections where people mistakenly jack them up. these were both squashed. they have both been cut off,straightened and rewelded back on.

Yep,its a ford dealer.owned by 2 brothers.4 technicians,1 apprentice and 3 bodyshop staff.
Everything in It is well over 20 years old
all pictures were taken on my phone mat.

The painter sounded surprised today..when i told him the gearbox wants coming out aswell...he thought he was masking it up and painting round it...

mat for diffs and gearbox i would etch prime them then paint them silver with 2 pack it will last forever

mat,did you know the front crossmember is damaged? the one under the engine. looks like it has run over something at some point and given it a fair old wack.

I noticed it had a dint on the lip of the cross member but never really looked into it... I will have to grab one from some where.
