Are Mk3 and Mk4 Escort RS Turbo rear quarter windows the same??
Hi guys,
Maybe a silly question, but, I'd rather check with those who know than waste my money!
Looking to fit some popping (opening) rear quarter windows to a Mk4 Escort RS Turbo and wondered if a Mk3's glass was the same as a Mk4??? I've done some searching on the net and it seems there are mixed opinions as to Mk4's ever coming from factory with these... So just wondering if someone could clarify this for me? Did they come on the Mk4's or do you retro fit Mk3 glass in??
Let me know guys if you could, cars nearly done so be good to get them popped in before it leaves the bodyshop
I've got some sourced that have been in a Mk4 so I know they fit, but if anyone has some in or around Hertfordshire I'd be keen to get a price from you. I have got some sourced (at a good sensible price too) and they can be posted, but if I can find some for the same price I can pick up locally I'd rather do that (don't trust the post with glass!).

Never came as standard in a mk4. Mk3 used bronze tint were as mk4 uses green tint. But same size etc
Heard a few German mk4 had pop out rears
I've a set of clear pop out windows. Very rare I heard

theres a guy on ebay selling green tint opening rear quarter glass ,
the there exactly the same fella , if you remove the b pillar trim the holes are actuallt drilled there for the mounting brackets for the window, simply needs riv nuts fitting

unless you were luckey enough to pick up a pair of new old stock gen ford ones like i was last month lol

Yeah seen the ones on eBay but I think from speaking to him their gonna go for HUGE money...
Okay cool so of I get a set they should go in easy enough, just need to find a rocking horse that's about to drop now, lol.
