I've driven an XE on 48 Carbs a few times. It was not very well mannered at low revs and did cut out a lot.

I was holding out for a 2 door for years but the money you have to pay for shit boxes would have left little for the rebuild and to be honest I think it will be cool being a four door,

probs true but id be tracking it so id always hold off fitting a cage or wanting to spend a shed load on Retro Ford parts for me to fit my 2l in on Jenveys!
