not had a proper project for a while so thought i get one in the shape of a 89 xr3i in black. she a bit of a dog at the mo as it been sitting for 4 years . needs new passenger sills and a pair of wings but being a fussy person it going to get all sills , wings , and arches.

the plan is full cage proper lighten it where ever possible perspex window fibreglass bonnet. decent sus and brakes.

powered buy a fiesta st engine that will have a mountune mp200 but with the additions on worked head and running on omex managment. im still pondering on the gearbox front tho.

also with rear coilovers will i have to do anythink to rear turrets strengthening wise

 

got the old girl out today been off road for 5 years. had to put fuel tank back in to get the thing running. it fired up but only runs for 1 second and keeps cutting out. the rust ond rot is a lot worse then when it was when i left it.






genuine mileage as car has only 1 previous elderly lady owner!

total opposite for the passenger side tho :'(





needs new rear chassis rails as there a hole right on edge of the spring seat. plan to fit coilover so will render spring platform useless and will just plate them up. this year will mainly body work things going on .
