Update 1
spent some of the weekend getting the dashboard out and the bumper and headlights ,
found quite a bit of corrosion around the heater , will deal with that once the car is completely stripped.
also started disconecting hoses on the engine , found a little bit of black oil in the tubo inlet , not sure if that means theirs a turbo problem or not?
had a good look around the front cross member and all seems well , no corrosion at all
next week end ill tackle the rest of the engine ancillaries ready for engine removal

update 2
been well busy at work for the past few weeks but got 2 weeks off now , so today got stuck in with engine removal
first of radiator and intercooler removal
then removed header tank and powersteering resevoir
then i took off exhaust and inlet manifolds to give me bit more room to get at gearbox bolts etc
exhaust manifold removed
inlet removed
, spent the rest of the day removing powersteering pipework , alternator , and other bracketery as well as clutch cable and speedo cable.
need about an hour or so in the morning undo gearbox bolts and engine mounts then should be ready for the big lift lol
