Default Fiesta Turbo Re Shell (Swampy Mk2)

Fiesta Turbo Re Shell (Swampy Mk2)

It about time I made a thread about the rot box that is the better half FRST.

Was purchased a year from a lovely girl in weston for a very reasonable price came with T3 conversion Beiges AVO coilovers but a leaking water pump.

As purchased

Anyway she ran it for abit turbo started smoking so time for a replacement (i just happened to have one lying around lol)

On further investigation rust started to appear

It doesnt look much but it is really quite extensive and from the name it become very wet inside on a great british day. So much so that my cabby is more water tight than hers!!

Anyway a donor car was sourced was a steal £450 from a man off EBay its only had a handful of owners 71k on the clock and mintier than mint.

Orginal ford sticker in the boot!!!

Strut tops that have never seen a spanner or socket!!

And the worst of the rust.

So now I am at a loose end its time to get cracking with stripping started on tuesday

Had some ooopps moments along the way

But ended with this

The usual rust spots are immaculate

And thats where i got too last night.

Updates as and when

So with the engine out of the blue car and all nice clean decided to start on the white car.

Body kit came off with no real dramas but did expose some interesting sights.

This is the drivers side front wing

Passenger side

And just for shits and giggles i got the wire brush out and found this on the rear arch!

Thats about 1.5" of filler basically the cowboys who did this used filler to recreate the arch. I was disgusted when i found this.
