Cheers rob an gregg
Bit of a up date got diff up and drive shafts bolted up just need to get a new diff hanger and all is good. Also got sound deadening fitted to front floors.
Next on the list is some more body work get the wheels and cam cover blasted and do all gaskets on the engine as a few are weaping ready for engine and box to go in over the bank holiday . I can't thank the few good friends who have given there time to help me with this project enough. Without those it would take for ever to do. :0)

Last night I finished cleaning the windscreen aperture of sealer and little scabs.
I then turned my attention to the passenger side door shut to attack the corrosion were the wing joins and get it preped ready for paint. Shall put photos up later

what a mare this turned out to be........ after Aaron applied the etch primer all looked good until we got a massive dose of reaction in the a pillar to wing area .
took a while to sort this then hit it with high build primer and now all is good . leaving in primer for now until other side, boot shut and front of roof area are sorted then hit them with base and lacquer all in one go.
all was not a disaster though managed to get the chassis leg repaired were brake fluid had run down it which was a major bonus lol.
also got the engine on the stand and started stripping the alloy bits ready for bead blasting saturday morning along with the wheels
dont think ill get to many horses with this powerhouse lol
nice little blow in there cheers Aaron
thats all for now bit of a short update but keep plodding on im really happy with the progress in just a short few months

well i got the bead blasting done on saturday that was a major bonus and a huge chunk out the way now just need to get the stuff i blasted painted up and finished
had a few days rest off it too as i was starting to get sick of the sight of the garage but couldnt resist going out tonight and making a start stripping the bay loom of all the nasty insulating tape and redoing it with some very nice cloth loom tape i acquired 1 roll down and i need to get some more but its looking loads neater and fresher than it did.... this weekend should see the engine stripped cleaned and most of the gaskets replaced too ready for fitting bank holiday weekend
wheels before blasting
all stuff after blasting
loom looking grotty
cloth loom tape
much neater

so its been a little while since i updated again ive been a tad busy )
finally got the wheels etched and covered in high build primer also the cam cover.
managed to get one wheel in paint and the cam cover in paint it needs a skim now before i re lacquer it. engine has been stripped painted pistons cleaned up gaskets changed ect ect ect just got head to sort out now but at least bottom end is back in as is the box and prop ) now its starting to look like a car again. cant wait to get the head back on and the engine loom back in now....
nice to see the wire rings have stayed in tact )
finally back where it belongs )
mayb a little slow over the next month as got quite a hectic month coming up but we shall see

Not updated for a while had a hectic month and p.c is on one.... also )it of a arse to upload photos from mobile....
Work has been a lil slow but been cracking on this last week or so all dents are more or less sorted and body is nearly ready for primer Etch first on bare metal then high build.
Must say though sorting stone chips in the roof is a bitch but down to bare metal they went same as the a pillars. Will upload photos when I can.
