Me at 2 O-clock in the morning during an all nighter to get the on the road. Remember this is a development vehicle not a show car. Sometimes you just have to press on to get the job done, I am very aware its not pretty.
Customer car parts get TIG welded.

Ford Fair - yes, got 4 track sessions booked.
Also got track time at Knockhill this month at RSOC event.
Subject to final details we are now moving to Rosyth EuroParc this month.

Okay just got it up and running again.
Small issue though!
My turbo didnt make it back to me today and I really need the car this weekend? So fitted the GT30 71 from my Mk3 and 4 Escort Turbo.
No idea how this is going to perform. But we will be finding out after some sleep.

Well the GT30 has done 500 ft/lbs of torque at 3.5k but less power at 420bhp.The T03/T04 has a better power spread. While the GT30 just lights the tyres.
Need to more mapping on the GT30 though.

Simon, its no problem having the steering wheel as long as it returns to my fiesta one day!ha ha...

Dastek is in Hillend industrial estate in Dalgety Bay thats the other side of the motorway from Rosyth.
Have used the guy before at the Audi Specialist once because he is closer than Star Performance and will never again cos I paid a lot of money for not a lot of work.
Basically I had an idle problem with the revs too high. He charged me Ł100 to diagnose what he thought was the a dodgy sensor on the throttle body which he cleaned and re-fitted. He then wanted to fit a new throttle body circa Ł500 plus VAT and 2hrs labour for mapping. So I done some research and fitted a new PCV valve and newer model dump valve with stronger diaphragm, problem sorted and for less than Ł40 its ran like a dream since for the last 8 months.
I know this is based on personal opinion and the guy may already have his fans but Jim at Star Performance is waaaay better and have used his services for the last 3 years and shall continue for aslong as I have any VAG car.
Anyways rant over back to the thread.....can't wait till RSOC @ Knockhill this weekend keep an eye out for B2 ESC!!

Well the first 2 sessions in wet I had a boost solonoid issue meaning car was running 1 bar of boost so about 350bhp.
I was able to up the boost for the 3rd session upto 1.6 bar so 420bhp for the 3rd session, however towards the end of the session it split the back boost hose so drew to a stop on the circuit requiring a tow
Borrowed some tank tape from Dalsy, taped it up and drove home.
I can see a full hardline intercooler hose kit been made this week.

Updates.
A new very loud exhaust, its sounds good on track but rattles your brain at 2500 to 3000 revs.
My new clutch and single mass flywheel package all made here in the UK.
And my new XYZ 355mm discs and 6 pot calipers which worked perfectly at Silverstone.
