ok part 2 , which will bring us right up to date ,

k , custom strut brace was fabbed

now away for coating

rear shafts were overhauled ,

lobros completely stripped

rear carriers stripped ,

fuel pump loom redone

another pic of 1st batch of coated parts

front inner shit shields refurbed

rear abs sensors cleaned and buftied , and repaired as they had cracked

engine bay loom redone with braid .. just waiting on the new heatshrink lables before refitting the plugs ,

once dried the diff was refitted with its cover

diff mount installed

bolts then reconned , the gen o.e colour - wedgewood blue

diff then fitted to the beam

and shafts fully rebuilt , re greased , new boots ect

just the arms , and some bushings to sort , arms are getting braced up around the shock mount ..

rear of the car has had the superjacks put in and the rear dolly removed ready for fitting

so yeah few parts to be furbed still for the rear , hopefully getting the tank and fuel pump carrier ect to button up the bk end , daz just bought new rear bearings , discs pads , bushes , odds n sods

so yeah hope you likey ,

Im sure someone said that if you heated the heatshrink up too much it turns the dymo tape black as that's how the data is printed on but i did my test piece carefully and it was sound
might be wise to do a test and see how it goes before doing the loom

Is the car straight black as it look's metallic in some of the pic's

Nice work you are doing there I have been following this from the start, will be looking forward to seeing the finished product

I noticed you didn't powder coat the hub face have you also left the trailing arm face uncoated to?

I was just wondering as mine have been coated on the mating faces but I didn't think it would matter because it has the stone guard sandwiched between them anyway, what's your views on this?

i dont think its super critical mate ,

just that the way ks decided to do it ,

also means if daz opts for camber shims in the future they have a nice flat face to sit against ,

again was just prefrence bud .....

The faces were left as sometimes the powder coating can be to thick in places and un-even all i do is mask them up and give the face a light coat of etch primer job done...K
