ok folks , part one of a two part update ,
been a little slow , few non car related issues going on , i not going to say what but daz fully aware of the situation ....
anyway
popped up to a mates place to blast some rear end parts ready for paint ect ,
diff went in first
then diff mount , hub and driveshaft flanges
bolts and hardware
got them done then bk to garage for a cpl coats of upol etch primer
diff was then hung and painted up
then after a bit of paint
diff
also the 1st batch of powdercoated parts came back
mostly rear end parts , but front cradels done aswell ,
mixture of satin black and anthracite
going back over to karls shortly , to get the other pics together and some more from this week ,

ok part 2 , which will bring us right up to date ,
k , custom strut brace was fabbed
now away for coating
rear shafts were overhauled ,
lobros completely stripped
rear carriers stripped ,
fuel pump loom redone
another pic of 1st batch of coated parts
front inner shit shields refurbed
rear abs sensors cleaned and buftied , and repaired as they had cracked
engine bay loom redone with braid .. just waiting on the new heatshrink lables before refitting the plugs ,
once dried the diff was refitted with its cover
diff mount installed
bolts then reconned , the gen o.e colour - wedgewood blue
diff then fitted to the beam
and shafts fully rebuilt , re greased , new boots ect
just the arms , and some bushings to sort , arms are getting braced up around the shock mount ..
rear of the car has had the superjacks put in and the rear dolly removed ready for fitting
so yeah few parts to be furbed still for the rear , hopefully getting the tank and fuel pump carrier ect to button up the bk end , daz just bought new rear bearings , discs pads , bushes , odds n sods
so yeah hope you likey ,

Im sure someone said that if you heated the heatshrink up too much it turns the dymo tape black as that's how the data is printed on but i did my test piece carefully and it was sound
might be wise to do a test and see how it goes before doing the loom
Is the car straight black as it look's metallic in some of the pic's

I noticed you didn't powder coat the hub face have you also left the trailing arm face uncoated to?
I was just wondering as mine have been coated on the mating faces but I didn't think it would matter because it has the stone guard sandwiched between them anyway, what's your views on this?

just tested the brother tape and it stays the correct colour,though i did manage to melt a label & burn my fingers

new decals on there way from gaz ltd
rear arms blasted and braced for collies
abs distrubution unit overhauled
brakes where then fully stripped , blasted , powdercoated and rebuilt using bigg red kits ,
note the machined piston blank for blast n coat
coated
brake and fuel lines ran ..
rear compensator detailed
hand made alloy line clamp
and the rear end assembled after arms ect were painted
all bolts in factory blue
ohh and carbon fiber rear brake shields made by k
