My 24v Cosworth Home Grown Single Turbo Conversion
#42
Just bumping this up, still have this old nail. Has gone through quite a few changes over the years..... Upgrades, different parts and plenty of breakages, mainly gearboxes 😭😭😭 But the basic package is still there and the engine itself along with the turbo have been very reliable. Last time on the rollers was 345hp and 400lbft torque, hence the gearboxes letting go. Have now upgraded to a T5 with a proper bellhousing. Shall post some up to date pics and a more detailed description of what's gone on over the last 12yrs 👍

It indeed has been a long time! All fine here. Everything good for you too I hope?
I still have both, although the 24v has been re-shelled after standing for 5 years or so and still needs some small things that need to be fixed. And the YB also needs some small things taken care of for a new MoT.
But the 24v feels a bit slow nowadays when I have a remapped 330d as daily. So I’m already thinking whether it should stay N/A, or if a turbo or Rotrex would be nice. But I guess I should first fix it and drive it for a while.
