I'm fed up of plain max, it's 550bhp rwd and I intend to kick it in on track, think silver on white wouldn't catch your eye like the white does.
I think I just have a vision of it side ways at Donnington and whiteon white screams track to me!
Also have a set of dymags going gold..

Got myself a finish date. 1st March, feature is booked so got to get my finger out.
Plating and annodising done this week so I could have a good weekend on her
Bells to match front and bailey valve
Gearbox drive in, no cable as using stack speedo
Gearbox filler plugs
Rear disks massive thanks to martin at reyland for these! All built and fitted with caliper brackets and spindles
Both side front brakes now properly cleaned and fitted with pads etc
Fuel pump 909 doggone linking the two new 979 pumps in original bracket. Just got to mount pumps in cradle then fit.
Two clips mounted for fuel pump
And fitted with adapters for aeroquip
That's all for now, should be updates coming quite quickly now till the finish

A quick note to people looking at the pics and thinking.. " **** me thats good " ..... the pics dont really do it justice.. Its a class act for sure and a definate kick up the arse for the approach i have on my project....

Nixon its taken me so long but like you say there isn't much I've not done right. I would like to go nine inch diff and strait cut box but for now it's as good as its gonna get
I didn't want to regret not doing any bits and it got out of hand

Bloody hell Jim....Just spent an hour looking at this thread from where i left off (I don't come on PF much these days!)
and it's come along bloody way....amazing car, top job! Wheels are nice but I have to admit, I do like the previous wheels too

Nixon, You would have to have my inlet, cams and cr etc to make it work, mine is a bit diff to the norm and seemed to work with scope for the future, tell me your plans and I'll be glad to shed some light on it

Im on a gt3071r.63 - may swap for a 0.82, external 44mm tial gate, reyland 2wd modified exh.mani, 4x4 elbow-modded inlet, 750cc inj, everything rebuilt even the head. The condition of the head is very good after the rebuild but i did not port it back then, I guess i will need new guides, seals etc when porting the head? (as they have to come out)
I would like it to produce right around 500hp with a GOOD bottom end. Not just huge ports, but I know Waples knows his job
Im on std 4x4 pistons (just milled down 1mm) so dont know if I can fit the BD14 or not.

I would pocket the pistons, out a bd16 inet cam and have a 25/24mm ported head, at 30psi 475/80bhp would be your lot.
To take that engine over 500bhp youd have to run alot of boost or, put a hart inlet on it, a bigger exhaust cam and at 30psi 500 would be poss
