cheers for the comments people...i cant wait for the engine to fnally go in and can start something different with the car again...chassis developments are next to help me get the thing handling like is on rails and help gettin the power down....i wil be using different setups for different days - everyday, 1/4 mile and trackdays...i think i need to start getting to know the local tyre guys who can laser align the car to my requirements and not get charged Ł50 per axle everytime i want to try something different lol
i think i might carry on work with my custom dash to as thats been a bit neglected at the moment!

My plans are as cheap ass'd as possible but using none of this low compression plate nonsense lol
Ill spend as much as i have to on the engine inturnals but it will take ages to save up

Dyno session has been booked in the first week after new year...3rd jan Harvey returns to work so sometime in that week it will be done hopefully...he has 3 or 4 engines to do before mine so once they are out of the way Ahmed can crack on with mapping mine....
will be sorting out the last few bits and bobs in the remainder of this week and next to get the engine fully ready for the dyno...from top of my head, that requires:
fitting thermostat
fitting exhaust manifold
fitting turbo
double checking loom to make sure it fits all the sensors
modifying oil breather
and i THINK im there
roll on the 3rd!!!!

gotta smooth out the engine bay when the engine comes out....quick question dave, do you NEED to weld in plates to fill the recesses or can FG do the trick on the not so deep ones?

quick update everyone...
engine is now ready for the dyno...after revisions to the exhaust manifold, breather, and a few other bits and bobs, then engine is finally ready!
Just gotta pick up a few bolts that i have lost over the build from Alex tomo (cheers mate!) and we are on the way to sorting the dyno session....
i will hopefully get an exact date for when the dyno mapping session can be taken and will take it from there
engine ready and waiting to go:
also one of the gearbox as it stands at CTS:
and check this for a christmas present
