To answer most people's question about alloys and wheels. The problem I have is that I need at least 15's to fit the brakes. Also due to the power I want to put down in a ford capri I need a wide wheel for my rubber on tarmac and to improve handling and on 15's they are just not wide enough, im having problems finding a 15'' wider than 7j. If anyone can find any wide 15''s ill be more than willing to take a look at them...

or get some split rims and get some one machine an extra inch to fit inbetween and you would have to have longer bolts of corse thinkingabout it the splitrim one might not work so well

You have done a good job on the interior, Engine bay looks tidy as well.
Hey if you get a chance could you please take a close up pic of your engine mounts and crossmember you used.
I am having issues bolting my YB into my mk1.
Any help would be magic.

That would be sweet thanks, your car looks tough sitting on those wheels with the flared guards. Love everything about it.
What modifications to the engine bay are you talking about? Did you have to do anything to the tunnel to get the T5 to fit?
Any help would be appreciated.

agree with the wheels, get some 15" on with more rubber, deep dish. and get that engine out and a v8 with some grunt yb are over rated, you got to much bay for that engine but car looks the dogs!

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
looks cracking
as said before it sure does need some 15's on there really for me as well the 17" just look too big

i think a set of the MO wheels (15x8) would look great to if you did not want to go with the minilites

I found these photos the other day and I thought id upload them for anyone interested. This was the bodywor being repaired and customised. For anyone interested in the car, its currently off road again it dropped a bolt and ruined my engine internals requiring a full rebuild. Unfortunately happened when I was on my way to get a nice new set of wheels due to the recommendation made here and elsewhere about my current ones being too big. Ahh well.
