hi all

finally got the car rolling 2day after alot of hard work an long nights

after fitting rear end up we ad camper problems

so over a cuppa the lads got their heads together!!!!!!!!!


after tea ian got the grinder out


the problem was we ad zero camber on the rear,

so dave an ian came up wiv the idea of cutting a slit in the strut then
fit it all bk up then adjust to wot we wanted it 2 b then tack weld then
remove again then reweld an refit!!!

Coming along nicely mate,

How come there was so little camber and adjustment on the rear then to have to mod the cases so much, as long as you have achieved the desired results ay, is there any slight adjustment left via the link arms to tweak when you have the geo set up

Looking forward to seeing it come together now, once rolling your well on your way

 

Looking good ja nice to see it on the floor at last i will have to have them rear shock nuts off you to do the same as the front ones plus is mark sorting them front bushes for or do you still need me to sort them

the mk3 shell is alot narrower than a sierra so we cut the strut 2 kick the wheel in then adjusted the link arms 2 suit!

ians goin2 mill the hud so the shaft/wheel will sit in arch more!

What's stopping you moving the entire wheel hub corner further in ? Or are u governed by the length of the drive shaft bud ?


It's a issue we found when mocking up a wheel , but as we're going with a different diff it's going to require new shafts so not an issue length wise ,


Really coming along nice to see everyone's projects moving forward !

U got a pic of front wheel to front arch jay , looks deceiving there but seems quite far out ? Or that due to the 8j wheels ?

 

It's the escort Cosworth wheel that's doing that mate as when we put one on the rear it looked like a beach buggy

small update......

david started on roll bars this week.....








brackets not yet finished.

soon as the 2 roll bars r on we will start stripin an prepin 4 paint

i cant get any1 2 make me a carbon bonnet so got 2 stick wiv metal 1

started prepin bonnet ready 4 primer then a show drinkin buddy is fittin 4x4 sierra cosworth vents 4 me



il av the bonnet in primer saturday... i hope
