Right All
Its been a long while since i last posted on this thread. I would expect most wont remember it as it was 8 years ago and it seems a lot quieter on here than it was back then.
Anyway, jumping back to when i got the car back and all the hassle that came with it i kind of lost the love for the car back then and it just sat in the garage with me doing some small bit here and there. Now the time has come to make a decision on what i am going to do with it, It was either get it painted or get rid of it.
Anyway i have decided to get back onto the shell and try and get it done. I will post up some current pictures of the shell and what little has been done over the last 8 years but it will bring it up to date.
Wish me luck,
Adam

Hi All
Well as my last post, i decided to get back on with the car and look to get it finished.
Since i ended with the post back in 2010 its had a few bits done but nothing huge. We made a spit and had the underside stripped and any repairs needed were done. A house move then happened which gave me a warmer garage. It surprising how much more motivation you have when you know you have a door straight from the house into the garage without having to go outside into the cold.So earlier this year work started on the car again and as of this moment its currently getting painted and planned to be back with me Saturday. Pics to follow!
Also, why wont it let me change the thread title anymore?

Use the little picture icon on the tool bar at the top of the reply box. Looks like a little mountain range

I click on the icon which takes me to the upload bit, then go to album and select a picture which takes it to the bottom to rearrange. Then click upload and it does nothing. I must be missing something.

Some pictures are abit mixed between primer and colour but you get the idea.
The outside is now in colour and will add the pics shortly. Doors, boot kit etc is now in primer and should be in colour next day or two ready for the cars return Saturday!

That's currently how it sits apart from the spoiler, bonnet and arches are now in paint. Still plan on a Saturday delivery home to start with the build.
I have started to get the running gear stripped for powder coating and found that one of the rear tie bars has had the thread knackered when someone bolted it up cross threaded so looking for a replacement one.

Work has started on fitting parts back onto the car. Sunroof is in but I have hit a snag I am hoping there is a very simple fix to.
the sunroof fitting into the opening fine and I screwed down the mechanism into the existing holes on the tray but when I bring the roof closed i am left with a gap on the front edge near the screen. The roof is trying to lift at the back to close flush but as its not fully forward it hits on the underside of the roof panel. I assume the glass just needs to move on the mechanism to line up in the closed position.
How can I move the glass panel forward without moving the full frame.
Cheers all

Thought i would put up a bit of an update, Things have been moving along at a slow but steady pace since the shell came back before Christmas. Not a lot got done for the first 3 weeks but got onto it once the Christmas beer ran out and hangover cleared up. Few pictures below

Made a start on the inside up to a point where i need to leave items out for access, testing etc and some parts just in for mock up and have since come back out for a clean/restore before final fitting
The wiring loom was a mess and needed alot of work to tidy it up and repair bad work in the past. I do need a loom for the drivers indicator if anyone has one spare, i seem to have lost mine.

Started to put the headlights and indicators back in, Ideally wanted some NOS lights but couldn't get hold of any so got some aftermarket ones. With a bit of work they fit OK and keep the black and white theme i am going with under the bonnet. New clips and adjusters from ford bought. I also picked up some new screws, brackets and clips etc while i was there for the underside rebuild. WOW ford really know how to charge for items like skirt screws and rivets. I almost fell over at the cost of this little lot.....
