the gaps are the same before and after mark just that the panel has lifted slightly that is all that i can see i will get pics of the tool used mark as i hope to do the other later and will post it all up to show how it is done

F.A.O. Mark,Here you go this is how i pushed out the panels without doing damage to the visible parts of the quarter may not look like much but it did the job very well for me,
Setup ready for the push
And it pushed,
As you can tell from this pics no marks to the panel and this is it pushed out to what i need it

Did you push the panel out enough for it to spring back to where you wanted it then weld in filler panels in?
Or push it out then weld filler panels in ?
