i took a mk5 bonnet cut the top skin off as much as i could save then took a mk6 bonnet placed the mk5 top skin on top of it centred it using the washer jet holes to line the two up then drew round it cut the top skin of the mk6 out welded the mk5 in place i had to shrink the front middle of the mk5 skin because it was fitting as square as the rest prob because of the shape the mk6 is more round at the front compared to the mk5 i did it that way because i like the look of the mk5 bonnet the best ive seen them done before but most people cut the bulges out and fit them keep the v type shape a mk6 bonnet has i prefer the too stright lines at each end of the bulges heres a few pics i found

end result still too be flatned and polished

had these on ma fne for a good bit now gettin there big thanks tae john for dane shit tae the van while am off the now for a few days

mock up

hammerited the gearbox again

and the engine

new fuel filter ect

front pipes bent and flexis on

and back ones

ready to be put togeather

pile ae shite
