slight set back wen a went to line the wings and bonnet up proper tonite i found a nice wee surprize 1st trying to line up the wings they wer sittin well away from there centre markers i thot might well be cause there chocolite copy wings then tried my bonnet down and couldnt get a decent hight a thot to myself maybe my bonnet aye made into a rs2000 one is took a bit of warping from the welding so tried a standard bonnet and headlights on it and still the same and the bonnet over laping the passanger headlight looks out abt 10mm so now need to roll the van round to the other workshop and either get chains round the leg and give it a tug or ill pt it on the jig and square it up bit of a cunt but hey ho

not bad gap

look how the driver side is lined up at the front also look where the rubber bonnet stop is

then look where it is on the passanger side its moved over to the right

bit clearer here

its great how you can sandblast the panels and shell. i have a blasting cabinet and means to powder coat so i can do anything upto the size of a 15' wheel, but bodywork ive always had to wire brush, sand etc. i might try getting and extension on the compressor and going outside and doing some panels next time im doing something like that.
would not being able to collect the sand after get expensive, or can you?

a just use silca sand mate its 120 a tone in bags and car shells and panels ect rip off in seconds i sumtimes use enough bags on a set of wheels to blast 2 - 3 car shells powder is a nightmare to strip i dont like using acid cause it can cause contamination issues if not washed down correctly
