Hey guys. the XR is now up for sale unfortunately .. due to a change in personal circumstances - isnt it always !!?? - and me moving things have to go... anyone whos interested pm me etc and come and see the car.. pics on here obviously for all to see. just a few tiny things to do but runs starts stops etc... also will have a lot of garage stuff up for sale also inc car trailer etc... will place em in sale sections...
Just wanna say many thanks for all the comments during this resto, glad people liked it . The car was always gonna be sold on at some point in the future , just didnt think as soon as this ! but hey ho, least Ive driven it...and as always the fun ( most of the time !) for me is the building.. ..be nice if it could find a new home with an enthusiast....
price tbh ive no idea , and obviously am aware that total resto costs are never realized in the final sale price on most cars... but maybe someone may have a better idea, hopefully someone will come and make an offer.

yeh thanks chaps, its is a tough knew it would be tbh, as like you say it isnt an s1 and people did say when I had the ford panels use em on an S1 !! But the car is a one owner from new full service history xr3i and is totally standard.. and as you say cant be many about now.. and as you say Andy there are quite a few s1s about...

wow, cant believe youre selling up on this but needs must.
im just aay to start a resto on my newly purchased very rotten silver rs1600i,you dont have any spare ford panels or good advice about panel gaps tc that would be useful to me do you?
i think pistonheads/ebay/xroc etc would be the place to advertise your car,its very very nice and unless theres 1 with 0 miles on it its going to be the best available!

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Sorry to hear you have to sell, you have built a stunning car there, truly stunning. An amazing level of skill and ability that I couldn't hope to replicate. I really hope this goes to a great home that will put as much time an effort into keeping it this way as you did building it. Truly is a credit to you. Great work

shame you have to sell gaz as the car is a stunner mate...
but id go with andy, that car in my eyes is an easy 6 grand... what with all the history and low owners... good luck with selling it mate..
