Moonstone 3door*UPDATE* road test 12/7/10
Started to strip down our friend marks 3 door today for an underbody freshen up ,its surprisinly mint underneath with no welding needed just a bit of surface rust here and there camera flash actually makes it look worse ,plans are to strip it totally send the parts off for powder coating, clean up and rub down the floor ,light stonechip then paint moonstone it will have a bit of work done in the bay then off for a full external paint.
First job was to get the bumper off, headlamps grille etc
Next the car was jacked up in stages to the required height.
few underbody pics
then the rear bumper was removed
Kit off ,very nice under here
Then we was called in for something very important ,tools were thrown down straight away (note the bread in mid dunk on plate 2)
This resto could take forever if we keep getting fed like this
Back to the car
n/s wing
Front suspension off
As we were getting ready to drop the axle Mark knocked up some stays to stop the car tipping as the engine and box are still in
Beam out and all stripped to be powder coated
to be painted
Items to be zinc passivated
Thats it for today just leaves the box tank and lines and the back is stripped
