Granada 2.0 Cosworth
have'nt found many granada (scorpio) project in here, or generally in europe.
I know of one "scorpio" here in Norway with a 600bhp 2.0 cosworth and 4x4, but it's mostly a track car.
since I bought this car 1,5 years ago, it reminded me alot of my uncle's old sierra cosworth. so my dream was to fit the sierra cosworth engine to really complete it.
started life as a basic 2.0 dohc, swaped to a 2.9 24v this summer, but that was a shitty engine, jerky behavior and some other small problems.
today, over a year later I have picked up the engine and the project begin, enjoy
trial fit of the engine.
some older pics of the car
will be continued

thanks for the comments
the body will stay the way it is now, but have complete RS styling from another car I had, maybe that will be fitted.
the engine is now out for a complete strip down.
all bearings and gaskest will be changed, and the crank shaft will be regrinded.
thinking of buying H beam rods and some forged pistons while the engine is opened.

the block is nearly striped down now.
the block will get a hot bath when the rest is removed, to get it clean and remove the rest of that nasty paint.
and the cylinders was in very good shape
new bearings, gasket kit with Grp. A head gasket, forged wiseco pistons, H-beam steel rods and a high pressure oil pump is on it's way

can take a little update on this one, since then engine is back in these days.
new pistons and conrods
engine nearly complete
alomost there
then I used most of the time on my other project, a straight 6 Capri btw,
but now the track day season is around the corner and I got most of the bits to make the Scorp up running.
made an radiator / intercooler package fit.
made an 2wd MT75 gearbox out of a 4x4 box
then
after a cleaning of the new home...
...it went in there
latest pic, bad quality I know
only waiting for new injectors and start up is the next step.

a update since last week.
got my new clutch and mounted the gearbox and prop shaft.
bought a Mongoose exhaust to 2wd cosworth and made it fit a granada, easy job actually.
biggest job was make the down pipe fit my turbo
the 3.5" outlet looks very small on this car
made an instrument pod that looks more like a part of the dashboard.
took down the fuel tank and changed the standard pump with a walbro 255.
will give the tank a lick of paint when since it first is down
fitted and ready to feed the engine
It don't looks like it, but have done som work here too
still only waiting for my injectors

alot of updates
got the car up and running last spring and it works very good.
runs on 1.5 of boost and the engine runs perfectly witout even a sign of misfiring.
but got a little problem before the trackday, the exhaust cam drive became loose and changing a couple exhaust valves, fitted a pair of adjustable cam drives at the same time
some pics from a trackday last summer
on the track
looking foreward to this season, with alot of trackdays and driving.
do you thinking of the Capri in the background?

but have planing more track days at rudskogen this season
