Hell yeah, normal driving not too bad, but you do tend to notice in time on the twisty roads I live around. But on track its a must.

Didn't miss much on strip, I bogged down in 2nd and kinda made a pants job of it. Never mind

But they do go well, always nice to see something different burning some tyres from the other end of the car before launching

No videos of mine I'm afraid, not been anywhere to take any really

Check out Ian Gerrard's old Reyland FoCos thread and I think Guido Ellmer's German Focus Cossie thread is still knocking about here somewhere

The Youtube Focus was A1 Rallysport's car, the first I believe to be converted to Cossie. But after having a Focus RS kit fitted, she met an untimely death and rolled I believe

Wheels are Group A ET33's, no spacers on the back but I run 20mm spacers on the front with Group A studs all round for safe measure. The carpet isn't original, good fitment though.

But if you need some underlay sound deadening carpeting, I got a huuuuuuge roll of it

Well I just call them Group A studs because its easier to explain, but their not really. Their just longer than normal studs. Because proper Group A's had a ped location for the Group A wheel then a nut to hold it on.

The Focus RS are ET42, they'll sit too far inside the arch for a Cossie conversion using a Cossie steering rack. They just hit the chassis leg sooner, unless you've modified the chassis legs, adapted the whole bay into the Focus from a Sierra like Focus 4x4 has done, or just putting simple spacer on the steering rack to stop it completing a full turn from left to right.

Look here to order your desired nut length, but as you can see on the Escort pic below, those nuts are really long and not really needed on our cars.

Popped down to Peterborough on Friday, a nice 426 mile round trip, not including some ragging time whilst at the garage.

What can I say, I'd be more than happy with a little cot in the corner of that garage. Everything you could ever want and more. Harvey Gibbs didn't dissapoint, very welcoming and great hospitality to boot (Jimbo the tea maker does a mean glass of water )

Been having that Cossie paranoia lately in regards to my fueling on boost. With an L8, Pectel Board and what appeared to be one of Harvey's chips, I thought it be best to take the trip down to see what's what. So after drooling over near enough everything in the garage, the boys got to work. After having a much needed lambda boss welded to my downpipe, Harvey and Jim squeezed into the seats (pure comedy by the way, tall lanky b******s ) and took my car out for a rag, armed with all the necessary gear.

On their return, Harvey had a pretty cheeky grin on his face which really gave the results away Turns out Harvey's chip is still spot on after all these years, apart from a small missfire (my fault ) at high rpm she performed really well. Shame everything couldn't be that simple for them. Don't think I've ever driven my car in anger without worrying just a little, the return drive was a lot of fun. Even better now with the missfire sorted.

Overall an awsome day, I'd recomend these boys to anyone. Despite the well renouned flawless reputation, they conduct themselves very professionaly, have good customer relations, no messing with the quotations and a very, very quick service. Learned quite a bit in the day too

On a seperate note, Jim has access to the best sandwiches/roles in the world!!!!!!!! And we found a pub named after me

Anyways, thank you loads for the assistance, well chuffed! Here's some pics, sorry for the crap camera phone quality....

Had first hand experience of this little monster, very progressive, smooth power delivery....and Jimbo doesn't drive over the speed limit...ever!!!

Here's a familiar one

Even without an engine I want it!!!

Jim's new projects.....very welcomed in the garage

Lucky customers...

Where the magic happens...

Harvey's old 500, great condition too

Needed to be done

Spent a few hours grinding away at the sills to get that dreaded surface rust off. Few other little patches too where the original sealer didn't penetrate very well when the car was originally converted. But applied enough acid/stone chip/paint/underbody sealer to ensure they never get effected again. Took the pics then gave underneath the car a bit of a steam clean so there's no colour differences in the sealer

Nah sorry Glenn, but spent yesterday evening grinding and sealing away under the arches, so she's all nice all round now. Just need to sort those dreaded rings sometime (if I can stop driving it ) and its immaculate

I used to have quite a few of them, search through some old posts with A1 RallySport Focus in the titles. I think someone else posted up the whole Performance Ford feature at one time.

Nah, coilies and solid rear beam mounts do the job well. But adjustable rear beam is on the cards also, but need to sort a few other bits n' bobs first. Fitted basics like new rear brake calipers and had one wheel repowdercoated because of a leaky brake line that destroyed the finish on the wheel

But engine will be sorted very soon
