Hi, looking to get my FRST resprayed and some minor welding work i.e sills and rear valance. I got quoted £2000 for the paint job alone. Is this realistic these days?? Is it better to learn to paint myself?? What are people paying for the work they have done??

Also one of the sunroof tangs has rusted through, has anyone had this before and will it be tricky as its part of the roof??

if it helps at all i know a guy that was charging 1500 quid to respray cars nearly 20 years ago. you do get what you pay for but make sure you know what your getting for your money
