1964 mk1 cortina
right brought this a few months and thought it was about time i did a project thread
it drove straight up on the recovery truck
once i got it home thought give it a quick clean to see what i was dealing with
first job was to strip the wings off
then clean off all the crap
and then red oxide them as the car was sat outside just leaving the patches that needed welding
and cut off the rotten light panels
then once my garage was ready i moved it in and stripped it out
next job was the floor welding
then i took the odl 1200 engine out
then i had to remove the chassis bar in the tunnel and widen the tunnel ready for the new engine and gearbox
then i craned in the new engine got it central and using the old engine mounts from the 1200 i cut them down and weld them up to fit the new engine
and thats as far as i have got @ the mo

right done a few more bits
cleaned up the front suspension bits they were caked in rust
and then painted them
and then thought i would create a bit more airflow for the nissan turbo engine so cut the the cortina bit out on the bonnet

PassionFord Post Whore!!
What a great build this is gonna be, proper like home builds. Whats the expected HP figure?
It needs to be a STD colour tho, fully trimmed with steelies.
Would be an EPIC sleeper
