Yep some updates again, engine is installed now. Exhaust manifold+turbo & starter motor also.
Today we will install inlet manifold and some pipes and try to crank it if everything goes well
In that "garage" ; ) is now pretty chilly because +2 temp outside and stormy wind..
Engine on its way to enginebay:
There it is. Note temporary rocker cover.

I bought rebuilded engine which has done less than 4000km (2800miles?) after full rebuilt (including boring & oversize piston set) Then i take it to parts and assembled with new gaskets etc. It has now 15 psi boost and running nice with good mpg !

Hi! theres some time since i last updated this thread but some things have been changed:
-Mongoose 4" output -> 2.5" output
-Cosworth 2wd discs & bracket kit to front (not yet installed)
-New steering column bushes
-Some more mapping and test driving
-Quarter mile 14.4 sek and 163kmh (101mph)
I still have problems with steering wheel shaking, i hope new brakes will help. Steering wheels shakes also when driving stable 100kmh, wheels and tyres should be okay.. any ideas? All new bushes fitted to front. New TCA:sa and steering rods, new bearings too.
Mongoose rear silencer modified:
Cossie 2wd discs & bracket kit for front brakes
Some trackday fun

Cosworth rear disc conversion started!
Some new parts arrived:
-Sierra cosworth 2wd rear discs 45Ł pair
-Sierra cosworth 2wd rear pads 15Ł
-Sierra cosworth 2wd rear calibers & repair kit 60Ł from local scrapper & bigg red brakes, -Sandblasting & Zinc coating 25Ł
-Brackets 20Ł from ebay
-Braided hoses for rear disc conversion & front 26Ł for rear (Burton)
-RS2000 handbrake cable in post 20Ł from ebay
I am experiencing some problems with brake servo, and i got yesterday replacement servo. It is currently sand blasting and i will paint it satin black. When i do change front brake hoses i will change servo too. I update this thread when i get calibers from zinc processing and rear disc conversion really starts
I have to say, that rear disc conversion is not cheap to do if you do it properly, i mean if you have to buy all new parts like me, okay calibers were used but reconditioning is not cheap..!
I put prices here, if someone is interested to do that. I can give details about conversion when i do assemble it if everything works ok

Hi mate.. car looks beautiful. I hope that You will finish rear calipers. I took it to parts like You but the putting together was pretty hard. Good luck.

Hi!
My mate dissembled those calibers before sandblasting and he draw some kind of "explosion image" ; p I hope we can assemble those. What particular was difficult with calibers?

There is the spring under the cap and its fixed by flat lock (i dont know the right name in english). The spring is so strong so its next to impossible to push the cap down and lock it. And these parts are in small place for brake piston in the caliper. First time I think that I will kick it out.

First i discard 800miles driven drum brake setup
New calibers, sandblasted & zinc coated with new seals
Brackets and discs in its place:
