you asked me about the rear suspension.
1. the rear hub is a mk engineering( kit car ) with a cosworth
compression sturt braket welded to it.


2. link bars are rally design mk2 escort 4 link kit cut down with
rose joints in each end


any way hope that has helped you .

IT IS STILL LOOKING LIKE A MAY HAVE TO SELL THE ESCORT
BUT WHAT ARE THEY WORTH ???????

got a bit more done on the escort as it was raining again.

got back in the garage for a few hours,only got a bit done .....
better than nothing.....








maybe on its wheels soon....

 

seems like iam getting no where fast. but the rear rollcage
has been bugging me for some time now. so i cut it off..




made a start putting it back, this time keeping it as light as
poss. ( still a very long way to go )





back to it sunday hope to get the turret finshed..

 

had a bit more time free so had a go on the escort.
back to the rear roll cage apart from cleaning up some
welds got a corner done..




then went back to the pedalbox..


will get all the welds ground up tomorrow then need to make the
pedals fit in the hole.

 

Awesome car, but bin the Compbrake pedal box, they're garbage

 

why does nothing go to plan? guess the pedalbox will have to wait
for a bit still got a bit more done..final triangulation bar for the rear
turret fitted and welded.some tiding to do.

remade the rear shocker top mount so could get some -camber back.

then played about with the rear suspension to dial in some caster
and try to get it to tow in a bit.also put the track day wheel on to
check on clearance.

this is the touring car slick (old type).

looking like going to need some custom made shocker does anyone
have any ideas who i could try..thanks...

 

WOW, awesome work, this is a mint project, lookin forward to updates!

 

as you all know trying to put together a time attack car which is
looking like will have to be the track sapphire.
but seem to have no space & no money so the escort must GO!
IT will only be as a rolling shell with bonnet doors glass etc.
dash, seats clocks but would like to keep the brakes as could
use them on sapphire for faster tracks (bigger than what is on)
SO IF ANYONE WANTS IT MAKE ME A REAL OFFER ......
