Default 1.4 TDCi Fezza

Has anyone here had any experience with thies engine apart from the usual intercooler, remap and de-cat. Funds are tight at the mo' but that can't stop me doing something for more poke......68hp..oh the shame!

I'm have been running 1.4 bar on a standard kp35, with a map by Kenny over at MD. I'm between intercoolers at the moment as I'm changing to a bigger twinpass to shorten my pipe runs and have already sold the 1.6 version I had on.

This will never be a 'Fast' car, but I would like to see what can be done within the realms of sensible spending. So any Ideas or bits to avoid will be greatly appreciated.

no replacement for displacement mate 1.6 is more tunable but the 2.2 is the most played with at the moment

think the main tuning withe the tdci engines is goin to based on the 2.2 and 2.0 engines sure i herd the name performance 2000 or 3000 having some dealings with it

I know what you mean about the 2.0, I have a customer wnts me to swap the 2.0 from his wifes focus into his connect once it's been 'played with' to a suitable degree. If I'm right (and it does happen occasionally!) I believe I can swapthe whole front end over (suspension, box, etc.) swap the ECU and keys, little bit of electrickery and bobs your auntie live in lover!

Hi
In Belgium, there is no possibility to swap cars, engineering controls are not tolerant

Nevertheless, changes through the ecu

First, the additional power box, very popular, inexpensive and easy to install for 15hp more.

Second, the reprog, some tuners are talking about a gain of 25HP

Personally, I have a power box and 160000km (100000 miles) no worries

Soon, decat, bigger turbo, intercooler, changes in intake (exit the air filter above the motor)additional power and a box of my making

Pics, Pics, Pics as you go. I'm having mig issues right now so the decat pipe is really a pile of bits, Intercoolers staring to p*** me off at the mo. Everyone keeps promising they have this a nd that and then it's gone. Trying to do this on a budget of sweet fa is maybe not the best idea....

Quite agree, but prohibits the swap and the 1.6 tdci unfortunately are very expensive in used car .
Modified a 1.4 tdci is a low budget solution that will exceed perfomance than a stock 1.6 tdci

Sorry for my English, I do my utmost

Best regards
Mike
ps; If there are other owners of Fezzy 1.4 tdci modified, do you know yours
