Long over due update 24/11/11
Well i Thought it was about time i updated my thread, ive been busy with helping build other cars (my brothers + mates) so haven't really done much to the car but here is what i have done.
After we got the car on the trolly we decided to strip all the paint off the car whilst doing this i found the only panel with bodge in it was the n/s/r back quater which had quite a bit in i took it all out and it looked like it had been kicked in the past.
So we decided to find another rear quater and after a bit of searching on the net and a few phone calls i bought one off Wenny (Thanks again) that was in really good condition.
Here are a few pics.
We refitted the door and boot so we could line up the panel gaps.
Then when we were happy with it we welded it on and primerd it.
After this was done we stripped the engine bay of everything and got that prepped and sealed and primed
I hope you think we are doing ok so far!!!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
First time Ive seen this thread. Last time I seen this car we were heading back home from Redcar after a PF meet at Teesside Park. You, me (Moonstone Sapph in my sig) and Lawnsy (Moonstone Sapph) having a bit fun headed back towards the A19.
Mines in bits at the minute too, will be going up on a spit in the new year and getting the same treatment as yours.
Keep it up chaps, gonna be a stunner when its finished

Ok after we had that sorted we decided to get it back on its side and flaten down all the 2k paint that we had put on the floor which was a nightmare and took 2 nights to do it all then we got the car masked and stonechipped the floor.
Then left it for a few days to set and then primed it.
Then left the primer for a little while and painted it in smokestone blue and laquered it
Sorry for the poor pics they are just of my phone.
Hopefully the car should be taken for paint by the end of next weekend.
Cheers for looking

Another little update.
After we were happy with the floor we started on the inside of the car so it was prepped, sealed, primed and painted and im over the moon with how it looks now.
Thanks very much little Bram for doing a really good job of the painting.
Now we have to get the car back off the spit onto the trolley and then its getting picked up and took to the paint shop hopefully this week.
Cant wait

Well its been a while but i have finally got my shell back from the paint shop and im over the moon with the finish, just waiting for him to finish painting my panels now.
Here are a few pics not very good ones but you get the idea!!!
In the paint shop with repairs done waiting for paint
Then in the paintshop with paint on
Then a few pics now its home and i have started sorting a few things out
A quick pic of the bay with the fuse box hanging
Then the fuse box all cleaned up and bolted in
Then i decided to fit my heatsheild matting on the bulkhead with some help from my mam (still needs a little work) and wrap some around my wiring to prevent it from melting.
Thanks for looking Bram
