Well worth getting rid of it all, and tbh not as bad as i thought i would be.
Gotta save for the cage for a bit as its the painfull side of 2k, so should be in the next couple of months. Doesn't help that carbon is taking hold so i might have put a deposit on a bonnet as well before the cage comes.

I had some dynamat, but only a few sq feet., took me 12hrs so far and i still have the boot to clean with white spirit.

Had a talk with Mike @ performance trim yesterday when i picked it up and Im deffo going to place a deposit on a full carbon bonnet. Boots have some interest but we'll have to wait for the rest of the roofs and bonnets to be finished yet. I'd say if it works out a boot should be about 6mths off and my name would 100% be on one of them .

Ron,
I used the figures from the new m3 with carbon roof as a rough guide to how much this will lower the center of gravity.
If i lost 21kg's it would lower the COG by 1.2cm aprox.
Dont sound much, but if the m3 has one ( and that only drops the COG by 40mm ) then it must make some differance.

Been a while so i thought id show some updates of bits that have arrived.
Carbon is addictive

Grill,

bonnet,

How my lounge is looking atm

__________________

To past the time this evening I've dummy fitted some carbon to see how the front end will look. Not so sure on the carbon grill , here are pics on std and cabon grill.
I may still paint the bonnet yet as said above.

Really looks like an rs2000 without the splitters / hockey sticks , they will be carbon also.

and with the vents in ( i think carbon or satin black ones are needed tho)...............

Hope to get this powdercoated black in the next few weeks , as there are a few minor scratches so i might as well while its off the car. I need to get a boss for the abs sensor to fit on there first though, as richie didnt run it on B9 KOS.
