Another sunday spent under a bloody car for me and dan.
Fuel tank out and underside stripped at the rear to bufty, might as well while the beam is out.
Nice little surprise of 45L's of fuel in the tank, thanks neil.
Im glad dan pushed me into pulling all this out now as the underside paint job leaves very little to be desired, so it will be a clean ,paint and refit for this lot.
Beam is not to bad, but it will get a clean and a lick of paint .Not to bothered about this as I want an ahmed 6degree beam once the car is driving anyway so pointless to go mega bufty on it yet.
Was nice to bin all the charcoal filter crap too.
Dan brought over some company for K60SSE, so i thought I'd grab a pic.

Time to get cleaning and painting now, parts to do are-
underside, brake lines, beam, tank and straps, props, box, x member, rack.
Hopfully the repair on the repair on the front panel and the wings should be done and ready to paint by the time the above is done.
Then its rolling and we have a few little bits going matt black(500 cooler, strut brace ect) and it will be ready for some bits to get bolted on. The expensive part.

Everyone keeps asking that but tbh i've only broke two saffs , 1st because i was pissed off with it not being what i wanted ( in retrospect I should of stuck with it and gone more power) and the 2nd i only got cos it was such a good deal and then was only broken for this escort i have now.
Is a fair bit of work to go into it but most of the hard graft is the cheap bit, when its all painted and back on the floor is when I can realy put a time scale on it.
It will all depend on my cash flow situ then tbh.
When its on the floor i will need to spend 1k wheels, 2k interior, 1k suspension, 3k brakes, 5-6k under the bonnet, plus 1k for stuff i havent thought of yet.
And i've got some other plans that will require another 3k ball park.
So driving it about the same time as the rest of the cars on the road are hovering .

Stevie sold the car to a guy called Jock, who then passed it onto Specialist Car Services (SCS) in Cairneyhill!
The owners from said dealers, stuffed it off on that corner at the hairpin at Knockhill!
It was only noticed when Stevie seen it at a show or meet and the OSF front AP caliper had been replaced by a Brembo yet the AP was still on the NSF!
Hope this helps!

Different callipers on each front corner made the previous owner ask the owner at that time why the were Brembo on the one corner and ap on the other corner and he told him that the calliper had been damaged beyond economical repair in an off on the hairpin at knockhill!

Good point Radman as when i got the car it had a newer AP on the drivers side but thought it must of just been due to a caliper fault, and when i got 4 wheel alignment done nothing was out so didnt bother digging.

Side skirts off, only this one bit to sortout.
front end taken back to bare matel and temp. Primered ready to get repaired.
some bits painted, big ta to dan for all his hard work on them
strut brace.
strut top covers and bonnet catch back plate
Pro alloy 65mm cooler, does'nt look patchy at all in real life but may try another coat just make
sure its good from every angle.
Headlight inner ducts painted and bonded in.
Rear end in diamond white, ran out of paint so a 2nd coat is yet to be applied. Tues i hope.
Inside stripped out a bit more.
Headlining and sunroof removed ready for the roofskin to come out in favour of a performance trim carbon skin. Sunroof and winder mechanism came in at 14kg, with hopefully another 2kg(ish) to be lost with the metal skin should make a nice difference to the c.o.g .
