thought i would do a few more update pics. Believe it or not still waiting on head coming back - had a phone call from the company doing the head, informed me that the postal service have no trace of the package since leaving manchester, so am over the moon at the moment - hopefully it will turn up. so now no head and Ł500 lighter. Anyway here is some pics.
BEFORE
AFTER
turbo and manifold removed for paint - had looked into ceramic coating but really far too expensive and could not justify paying Ł350 to have them done, so next best thing was por 15 high temp manifold paint - really good stuff.
BEFORE
AFTER 3 coats
Then the head was removed. lads round for some bevy and to help me out
and the reason for this
rocker cover and inlet ready for sending
with the head off and other parts, this gave the change to get the rest cleaned and painted
turbo built back up ready to go back on
hopefully the next update will be pics of my refurbed head or pics of me scrapping the car as am getting rather pissed with the situation ha.

update.
Almost 2 mnths down the line now, and i have just got the head alone back, turns out the carrier company (Business Post) lost my head, rocker, inlet, throttle body and sensors etc. so i was over the moon. Impulse Developments are now having to fork out and replace everything, i originally had the car booked in for the concourse stand at Ford Fair but it looks like the car is not going to make it now as it is only 3weeks until the show and i am still waiting on the everything apart for head and rocker.
Impulse are doing the best they can but are stuggling to get the bits, so will have to wait and see what turns up !
After further delivery balls ups, i finally have the head and rocker
decided to start other bits whilst waiting parts arriving, managed to get all 4 wheels done
wet flatted 1500 then 2000 sandpaper, then autosol and polish, came up great
managed to get bumper ready for paint as well
more updates to come, hopefully when all my other bits arrive.

OMG................
That looks lovely mate, money well spent...
I owned this car for over 4 years, many years ago.
When I sold it the car was running 300BHP on YELLOWS yep yellows
Pulled like a train and NEVER had a problem.
Im so pleased to see your bringing the car back to full concours.
In my ownership the car was awarded with 2 ND 1sts and Gold Cup
Great to see the old girl again and best of luck with the rebuild
Steve

Update
Finally all parts have arrived and been replaced, cannot believe that every part was lost by Business post. Thanks to Impulse Developments i now have all parts, everything was sandblasted and painted part from throttle body - i had to do myself.
I also now have pritty much all the parts, bolts etc for putting back together now, took the oppertunaty to get some parts electroplated as well, so hopefully all will go well.
Some of the parts
some electroplated bits
really pleased with how the throttle body came out
just waiting on my head bolts now from Burton Power
Cheers
Ben

Thought i would give an update, getting there now, not too much to go on, waiting on the inlet gasket coming and few other bits.
Airbox and hoses are now on, still to add the engine decal kit to finish off, will get more up next week hopefully complete and running
