Well not much progress been made as new premises has been taking up much of my time. But this arrive today:

M_Tech V4 Ecu, Loom, Comms Cable & Software, fully mappable all singing all dancing ecu!!!!!

the ecu looks to be of very good quality as so does the loom. I need an original fiesta rs turbo loom if anyone has one so I can splice the 2 together.

I shall be putting the engine back together in the coming weeks, hopefully be able to turn the key at some point over xmas bar any complications.

Big shout out to Matt @ Mtech for supplying the ecu bits and also the base map, much appreciated mate, get that scooby finished!!!

Mant thanks RS_T,

ive ended up doing most of the white again with rattle cans, a good friend is ready when I am to do the whole car in white, but things keep getting put further back. Just got back from a chat with a few friends who run CPR in Warrington about the running in plans, couple this with tempting options from Matt at M-Tech and 400bhp suggestions from Simon (sas) at Sitech and the its back to the drawingboard again.

must be sensible must be sensible

My mind is made up now, staying sensible with the current spec and just gonna get it running asap

But then the plan will probably change in the next few days :-(

6 speed MT285 anyone??

Thanks for the offer Matt but im going to have a go myself, want to do as much as I can on this car. Will probably goive you a bell when I have made a mess.lol

Well got off the phone to Sitech earlier and they have confirmed that my P4 Newmans Cam is on its way. All thats needed now is a cambelt, remove the crappy breather blank from the block and get the new pulley sorted and its time to put the little power plant back together

Will keep everyone posted

well my new phase 4 camshaft arrived today as promised. As you will note by the pics the package includes the solid lifters and clamping tool. All looks very good quality. I will maybe do a seperate thread on how to set these up as im sure many people would want to know (especially me.lol)

Thats all for now, taking the engine to work this weekend to begin assembling it

well nothing much has been happening as I have been researching what to do about by cylinder head dilema. But I have now come up with a plan for the head, it is having some secret work done to it by some secret lads at a secret place, the mods mods themselves are, well, a secret.lol

But they will be revealed once the car has been ran on a dyno on full chat.

Whilst the head is away I shall crack on with the interior or more so the custom dash.

More pics to come real soon peeps

Default Top Spec ZVH Cylinder Head Prepared by Sitech - Top Job

Well after much much debating about how to modify my cylinder head and long chats with some of the best tuners around, I decided to use Sitech. I have been talking to Simon and recently Bezo from the start of my project which was over a year ago but only recently actually spent any money with them. They are never dismassive to my calls and are ALWAYS very helpful which is the main reason I chose to use them. Trust is a BIG thing within the tuning world and I can say their work is worth every penny which is also more than reasonable. Anyway big thanks guys.

Im not going to let on the exact spec of the head but here are some pics, the work is so much better than what was there before, it was bodged by a diy ebayer selling it as a cylinder head developments one, oh I walked into that one.

Here are some pics

Looks even better in the flesh, well ive ordered a feela guage to set the solids so things should start moving along nicely now, just gotta try and put a bit more time aside from work to get the old girl finish for this summer.

Thanks for looking

Default Big thanks to Crazycage & Richie

Well mad some big progress tonight, the lads very kindly offered to pop round tonight and help me out with putting the old engine back together and timing it up.

Few pics for you

Richie cleaning the head after setting the lifters, I had been a bit keen with the oiling :-(

Few pics of the motor still in 2 pieces

Richie sorting the botom pully & disc

Motor together

Even though this was a mock build it was really nice to see it looking like an engine again. There was a few hucups though, the crank pully was still zetec so the teeth were wrong and would not marry up with the timing so I need to get a cvh bottom gear, also I can't find my washers for the head bolts which again new ones will have to be sourced.

I have also begun preping all the under bonnet parts for powder coating so this should help give the car a nice new lease of life. You may have noticed that gary hasnt done much by now, that is because he was too busy hiyjacking my account and writing crap!!!!

But in all fairness I really appreciated their help, my motiviation os back on track with this build thanks to these lads!

More to come real soon, thanks for looking.

p.s. car sprayer needed for this

Well time for a quick update for anyone who is interested, ended up removing some of the powdercaoting from the engine as I got far too caried away and it looked too much imo. So the alternator pulley and cam pulley have been re blasted and laquered.

The engine is now built back up and just needs the inlet and exhaust manifolds installing. Then this sunday all being well it shall be slotted back into the engine bay.

I shall try and get some pics up some time this week to show some of the powdercoating and also we are refirbing the alloy wheels.

will keep you all posted

thanks for looking
