Got the intercooler and Rad back from the engineers shop. The side mounts had to be modded so that it would slide further under the slam panel and move forward away from the pulley bolt. Still a bit tight with the twin fans in place so will need to dremel some of the black plastic away.

Hi Graham, sorry mate been meaning to give you a bell. Will try you tomorrow for a natter.
I'm a bit skint this month so no further work till pay day! Next on the list are brake lines and the dreaded wiring
I spied a set of 9x15 Comp ML's on Ebay and have pretty much decided that they are the wheels I'm going for.
Jobs left to do;
Brake lines
Rewire electrics
Suspension
Brake calipers and discs
Window seals
Gearbox rebuild (need a front diff!)
Not too far away really, however were expecting our 3rd child late August so doubt I'll get 5 minutes on her till towards the end of the year.

Not really worked on her much for a few months however got the bug again.
Blasted and painted the front hubs, fitted a few bits n bobs.
Not much to do now to get her started, just an ECU and loom really.

I posted a thread in the Q&A section. I'm scratching my head a bit about my rear suspension set up. The rear shock is located in the middle of the spring and bolts directly beneath the spring to the lower arm. See below pictures;

It fits perfectly with my Cortina set up however the rear Gaz units are obviously incorrect. I'm hoping they will replace them with some bespoke jobbies. They just need slightly different ends; the tops need to be like the front units i.e. single nut to secure. The bottom of the unit needs a securing bar as per my picture above. I'll call them tomorrow.

Thanks for the info Fezman, you've saved me a lot of hassle. I'll need to pop over the hill and check out your restoration project.
I've emailed Gaz to request some bespoke items, fingers crossed they can do something!

Ok the nice guys at Gaz say they can help. I've removed the rear Sierra estate self-leveling style strut and posted to Gaz along with my rear coil overs. Gaz can make up a set of rears for me but have advised that I will need to strengthen the strut top mount and lower wishbone arm where the new coil over will bolt.
Anyone strengthened their top and lower mount for coil over fitment? I'm looking for ideas.

First time I've seen a Tina on bubble's too! Look's awesome, credit to you mate.
Not convinced about the wheels, i think 15/16's would suit it down to the ground

Making great progress. The wheels really suit it, and those brakes are mad!
