Yes I did it with a little help from a mate that works for Ford. Unfortunetly I never took pics Should have really.

not updated it for ages mate will try do it this week. how comes you got the standard calipers and wheels back on? the fezzys going back for mot some point this month so will come up to the missus in that and we'll have a day down the garages just dont throw up on me

ditched the wheels because i wernt realy feeling them didnt enjoy the ride on the 17's either was well bumpy even though im now heading towards comps

car was picked up earlier by me mate charlie took a few pics nothing to exciting, had a good chat with tony the fella whos spraying it an he said all going to plan it should be done by next weekend as hes off on holiday but no biggie if not as theres no hurry

did think about green but decided pink with some yellow smiley faces

spoke to tony the painter this afternoon an said it was on the move today he said it would be in primer this afternoon, if i get time tomorrow after work i will shoot up there and up date with some pics

 

how did you get on up tony's?

 

not very well mate, went up there and it was jus sitting there, the headlinning was comming but thats about it, still like i said before theres no hurry

ive decided to paint the plastics myself to save a few bunts, if it looks crap i ll jus get tony to do them

went to halfords earlier and bought a few bits, got them all in primer and i will spray them up my garage in the next few days

 

Is grey plastics in fashion now captain?!!!

 

 

Decided to try abit more painting today after work, managed to get the rear door little quarter things and one mirrior painted, pretty happy with how they came out condersidering im a complete virgin when it comes to paint.

only thing is, i got abit carried away and tried to do the pannels either side off the rear glass and the other mirrior but ran out of paint

will it peel off if i go over it tomorrow or will it be ok ?







theres a few specks of dust in them but nothing thats gonna annoy me

also decided to go over the sapphire badges instead of taking them off think they look better in black

just popped up the body shop again after work and got a few pics, side strips are off, he managed to get them off ok bar the drivers door one which came off like a banana

drivers side has been filled and all dents bumps etc gone also the rear panel


its good to see some progress, he said hes gonna attack the otherside tomorrow and possible get the welding done so fingers crossed

 

just had another trip up to see tony with good progress, the filler bits are now in primer and also the hole on the roof has been welded also the two holes either side of the tunnel

going back up the monday to get pics of it all rubbed down then tuesday for the whole lot in primer

also managed to order a few bits the other day fuck me is this getting expensive

ordered the 4 door strips apart from the front wings ones, new front indicators and sides, also rear clusters and gaskets, and new badges for the rear

 

just got of the phone from cdf and now have my side skirt clips on order, top man

 

Looking good (well bad but you know what a mean lol) although the car was tidy in the first place so should be mint when done

as for the side skirt clips they are one of the best things you cant see on my car

the clips are wicked had a chat with the fella from cdf i didnt get his name, cant belive no one else has made them before, apparantly these are the mk2 ones as theyve been changed slightly

well ths saphs painted and fuck me it looks good, couldnt belive it when i walked in the oven for a goose i was speechless

bumpers and other bits will be painted tomorrow and hopefully will trailer it back some time next week and start the prosess of putting it back together

popped up there earlier for even more pics, bonnet was on, car had been gone over with light paper to get rid of any imperfections and the bumpers where in primer

plan is to get the rest painted monday and maybe picked up tuesday, cant decide though as tony said i could leave it up there and build it up not decided yet though

the paint has cost me 1500, thats with me stripping it and building it back up, also had some welding done aswell, two holes in the floor and an ariel hole in the roof.

its all the other bits that add up realy, just orderd new rear lights side lights, reperters, bump strips, side skirt clips it all adds up mate

not sure if thats expensive or not but im more than happy with the job hes done

 

Money well spent I'd say mate, thats gonna look gorgeous
