going to bare metal the effected area then restone guard the area get some 2 pack white primer & some radiant red & get the engine bay & full floor pan in some shiney paint then prep & paint interior ,bur Richie has got me thinking again on what colour to do it metallic grey or black (ANY SUGGESTIONS WELCOME).

must say i have read this thread from start to finish and i am amazed at the pure skill and ingenuity that has gone into this beautiful car, i am a big fan of the older generation fords and older cars for all over but to see the amount of passion that has gone into this 1 example is purely stunning.
keep up the good work
also i agree with whizzisat paint the insides black that would look beautiful rather than maybe an after thought with the grey

glad you like it Jay as for barscoat thats a blast from the past but i only got a small bit so its easier to strip it ,besides that it means i can use my 5" grinder again to strip it off with the knotted wire wheel

was it gravitex you used andy its always best to do a dry coat and leave with that stuff as it always eats in to old paint work iv found that out over the years ,if not il mind me bussines lol, sure its sorted anyway

small update i stripped the reacted area down to bare metal ,etch primed & stone guarded it this morning
And this evening i sprayed the engine bay with 2 pack high build primer
im working tomorrow so i will crack on with prepping the interior sunday
