Obviously talented with a welder and tin snips lol
daft question but, how hard is it to do a job like this? Cuttin out the metal and welding in new panels?
I've not really done any welding before but want to do some on my 5. I wanna cut the floor and baulkhead out and renew them. How hard for a novice welder?
Is it just down to practice?
I'm thinking of buying an old shitter and having a play with that 1st.
Do you think it's a good idea to try myself?
Would it b worth doing a college course 1st or not really?
Sorry for all the questions lol
good luck with the rest of your build.

hi mate those wheel spacers why havent you got any wheel location on them

That's what I was going to ask, would it be safe with the sort of power that you are going to run Andy? also mate I have gota ask, were they aftermarket c/v joints or genuine ford? a mate of mine with a 520bhp 3 door had a similar thing happen with aftermarket parts.

Looks like the spacer locates to the hub with tapered nuts and then you locate the wheel to the scaper with the same tapered nuts. Assuming wheels have tapered seats.
Unless the centre bore is neat on the hub?

the big hole in the center is a tight fit on the hub the 4 tapered holes bolt the spacer to the hub using original cossy nuts then the 4 small holes take long studs from the back to take the group A sleeve nuts ,but i will be modding them for wheel location as well did,nt think about it when i made them ,(ps,they are only temporary until i get my new wheels 12x18 splits probably )

Definitely need new cv joints standard ones should be fine though shouldn't they? the reason I ask is I am building a 24v twin turbo for my sapphire and hope they hold out.
Ahhh right, not a major oversight on the spacers mate and considering the standard of workmanship on the rest of the car I think we can allow it to slip by hey.
12x18 splits will be stunning but I gota ask what centre you are going to use in the wheels or is that a secret?
