looking good mate, prep the bumper and spoiler , take them off strip them down ( fog lights ect) depending how bad they are , your wanna sand them right down with 320grit ( id normaly do this with a air sander d/a) then wet 500 agen on a d/a then 800 any bits that are showing plastic , then id use a 2k hi build primer 4 coats d/a the lot with 500 (not going back to plastic ) then paint, start with a nice coat of wet on wet surfacer primer, one coat will be fine , then 3 good coats of red ( using water base paint ? ) then a grip coat of clear followed by a full coat

Right Ive got a set of RS/XR headlights for my Mk5. Ive got the mulitplug connections (A white longish plug and a small black one), How do i go about wirining them up to the original loom?. Do i cut the other connections (the 'U' shape plug and the small black plug) and join the new connections to the exisiting wires or what?

Also when i bought the car it had the 6 Speed wiper stalk and all speeds move at the same speed lol. Ive looked at the relays and i dont think i have the right one for them, So which relay would i need for them to work?

Some help would be very greatful as im abut confused at the mo.

Update time!

My RS headlights arrived this morning, so i wasted no time fitting them seen as it was nice today!

Fitted the Multiplug connections to the original wiring loom with some bullet connections.

And this how it looks:

Before:

After:

Just need to get the bumper sprayed properly as the last owner never prepped it

New sticker arrived today aswell

Then my nieces decided to clean it with wet wipes

Then noticed that i had to many headlamps for a mk5

Much better, get it to a body shop, they will have experiaence getting it to match, mines a bugger to keep clean, but when it is, it gives you great satisfaction, especially when you worked hard for it.

Update time!

Been awhile since ive done anythink to the car, Since the weather has been nice i thought id sort out the front bumper and grill.

The last owner didnt prep it, just sprayed over it . Anyway i had ago at sorting it myself, im still learning at sprayed, prepping etc but it turned out good, well anythink is better than how it looked before lol.

Also does anyone know where i can get the black strip to put back on, when i took it off it was just shiney black tape.

Some pics

Looks good, I would have left the grill in the bumper black though and the grill black, just to break it up abit, Looks like you have done a good job on the spraying though!

Is it going lower?
