got some pics of the car ,how it is now,gave it a good wash for the first time since i got it back from the bodyshop

done since last update

fit al the rubbers and windows,sealed the rolled arches innerside,fitted the dash ,wiringloom put back

some little things to do for the mot,

and got some pics of the cars new home(not done yet)

made some progress this week!!

only the exhaust to do,so i can get let it moted!!

here some pics of the exhaust



got a bender from a friend of mine,but didnt went as well as i hoped i would!!!!

so i decided to cut the pipe and just weld it back together



isnt very neat welding,but hey it does the job!!
and at the end ended up with this




just need some more pipe and a damper ,so i can weld it al together and see what mot-man thinks of it all!!

also renewed my handbrake-cable!





and tied up the springs to the cups



fitted the panhard rod from kostum karl



fitted the new wing mirrors

and finally got me a nice gasbottle!!

So, Thursday I had an appointment for the MOT, but Wednesday I found out that the engine really started to leak,

and after a while of searching the cylinderhead removed, and then turned out the camshaft barrier was leaking so new barrier in, and new head gasket fitted again yesterday, and turned out the timing belt wasnt on time,timingbelt now on time and the engine runs so much nicer and quieter now! Now only needs tweaking ,and make a new appointment for MOT, here are some pics

For sure hopefully with both of my cars with MOT Fiesta XR2 mk2 and escort mk3 RS1600i. In my opinion the Ford event in Netherlands and outside of it. Only Ford Fair stays at higher point on my wish list

update time!!

been busy fitting the zetec this week

heres some pics !

engine under the car






test fitted the 5speed cutout




did some spraying





welded up the cutout





also had to change the cvh mount on the car,as the engine sat to high,so welded a new one




and put some more stuff back on






engine still sits a bit high,but fitted the bonnet to see if it would fit and it does!!
also got plenty of room at the waterpump this way





so now have to do the wireing and plumbing

small update

changed the rockercover for one with zetec on it instead of dohc 16v on it,as i liked that one more ,then painted it mattblack

and some pics of the tiebar on the sump side,it has clearance








also been busy with the plumbing,just need 1 hose,witch i just orderd(will get rid of the red hoses tho!)

with that done,now need a gearselector,(if al goes well,wil be getting this week one) still need a 5speed tiebar!!! getting a feulpump and the loom fitted!
