Nice to see another Black 2wd Sapphire getting some lovely attention. As far as rare goes i've always been told the figure 55 made in total.
Looks good mate, reminds me of my resto on here. Should be able to search it and should still be on here.
Will continue to follow.

Cheers guys
Cheers yeah i was reading your resto the other night and must say it looks better than new
1 thing did your car come with leather as i was told that all the black ones did from the factory?
55 gloss black rhd 2wd is what i have been told but have also seen some people say that they were only 12 in the uk but that still makes them rare
Got the cam belt cover 2nd hand and the other new bits from phil
Cant wait to take it to a few shows this year
Think all I have left to do is get the wheels sorted and the last few bits in carbon and then thats it all done

12 in the UK, that would be good to have confirmed definately. Would make ours Super rare. I've not seen many Gloss black 2wds at any of the shows i've been to with mine. Only 1 other at Ford Fair 2007.
Will be really good to see yours in the flesh at some shows this year. It'll be nice to take mine out again. Not been out since Sept 07.

I will be doing santa pod in april
will need to give it a good clean will be nice to see what people think of it in the metal
would be nice to find out exactly how many there were made but dont think we ever will tbh

No, it always had the cloth from new. As I understand it both having Gloss black paint and having leather were on the options list. Hence why there weren't many ordered in Black due to the extra costs.

Well all i wanted to do today was fit my poly diff mound and solid beam mounts
BUT its never that easy as I found my self a fair bit of rot in the ns rail oh well out with the welder then
then sorted i little bit on the os
and while the beam was out i thought it best to give it a clean up and lick of paint
cleaned up the rear anti roll bar fitted new poly mounts ( just waiting for the drop links from ford)
Poly spring mounts
solid mounts all fitted
well thats it for now
I hope

Very inspirational this thread. Since a kid I've always wanted a Saph Cos, and it might be time soon for me to get one.
Would love to do a resto job like this.
I'll keep my eye on this thread.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!

As i've said Matt, it'd be great to finally see it in it's own mag feature and a fitting tribute to all the hard work you've put into this awesome car...
Getting the hang of that carbon lark aren't you?!... looking good!
Once again mate, well done!
