Good to see you back on here Tony. These days there don't seem to be many "high profile" RST builds like there once were on here. It'll be good to see your plans for the car.
It's been a strange past couple of days on PF - loads of the old members seem to be posting again.

Hi everyone. Thank you SO much for the lovely comments. It means a lot to me to see people still like my car. I thought it might have fallen of of the radar as I don't post on here anymore and have moved on with things now.
Yes it was
All the nice comments have made me a little bit bad. Since I posted up the other day. I have made some changes to the car. I'll let a picture do the talking.......
I finally decided to bite the bullet and end my 12 year run of owning my RS Turbo. A lot has changed for me since Damo, APT and I built the car a few years ago. I'm not going to go on about it and get all sentimental, I'm just doing it. I'll be renewing my Gold Membership in a few days and getting some parts advertised up on here. This really is the end of an era for me.

Thanks everyone.
Damo - Yeah, VERY sad. I remember us out there all day building, and I've been out there all day stripping it. I own it for another couple of weeks and that's it. Game Over.
Here is how it looks right now;
I had a lot of plans for it too for this year, but just had to put the brakes on and stop. I've put too much into the car, can't keep doing it.
Thank you to everybody who read this thread and to all the people who helped with the car over the years. I made some great friends through owning my RS and had some great times.

Thanks again for the nice comments
I was thinking of going a bit mad on it, and going for a removable slam panel and a custom front panel. To allow me to fit a Cosworth rad and RS500 intercooler. Maybe try a different cam profile and try to get some more power out of it.
It would have meant starting again in the paint shop and a lot more trial and error possibly with the cam. Then I stepped back after a discussion with Gary and Christian, and the fact that Christian isn't it the game anymore, I didn't really see the point. The social side of owning the car had gone and that for me was the best bit and what kept me pushing forward all the time.

Sad to see this car being broken, but as with all good things, they need to come to an end sometime.
I found an old magazine last weekend with your car in it at a rolling road day. It must have been when you first got the car. I'll post a photo of the article up later this week
