Thought i'd let you lot know what happened to the car today...

I was pulling out of a notourious sideroad where cars are always lined up against the oncoming traffic... Although a typical BMW driver decided he would park on the yellow lines infront of the parking spaces, obscuring the view of the road completly... Anyway Looking both ways I edged out at about 4mph and some some poor woman in an Almera appeared from behind the car and hit me on the drivers side doing over 40mph...

I was wearing a seatbelt but the force of the impact on my door smashed my head against the glass and well there you go.. fractured cheekbone, lots of comical bruising down my face and a bill as long as your arm all for some idiotic BMW driver... We were both fine, her car had hardly any damage at all, new wing, bonnet and bumper... even the Front panel wasnt bent!

The police turned up and wanted the BMW's details as he was "officially" part of the investigation but he drove off minutes after it happened... I'm pretty sure it will come out of my insurance as I was the one pulling out... But being a 18 year old guy I dread to think what the next quotes going to be... To top it off I was actually on my way to the garage to pay a bill for all the servicing work that had just been done ironic eh!... All in all not the best day in the world.

If anyones interested this was what I had planned for the car...

Yeh hopefully... A few inches forward and it could have been a lot worse! Maybe a white one this time if I can find a good one... Thanks for the support, the police are backing me against the insurance claim due to the BMW... cant see it affecting the outcome but if they fix the problem at that junction then I guess it will be worth it

Thanks for the support everyone...

I thought that Matt until I opened the boot to find the floor split down the middle and the rear suspension pointing up through the arch... This one wont live on, i'll salvage what I can and start a new project
