actually, I modified the stock rear beam... I built a complete new mounting, so that it fits perfectly and looks like Ford build it ![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
You will have space problems when you only change the front floor, and not the whole floor... like I Did...

Some news...
All welding and lead filling stuff are finished. Now we continue to finish the Bodywork, preparing for painting![Smile](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
I decided to complete the car and to make it run before painting, just to be sure that everything fits. I want to hear the engine screaming
After painting, I just wanna build in everything as quick as possible.
There are still plenty things to do: fuel tank, cage, fuse box, etc...
My mate Robert already started to prime the inside... thanx alot!!!

I am still at the thinking about it stage, it seems easier to me to create a wishbone/ strut arrangement. Ford seem to have beaten me to the idea with the WRC back end ............must be a good idea, perhaps only beaten by a parrallel wishbone set up.![Confused](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

Yeah... we did alot of filling last weekend... I took some pics, but right now I am on an exposition, so new phptos will be posted next week... :-(
I don't have any space problems with the rear beam... everything is already fiinished... I must agree, I would also like to put in a WRC rear beam, but because of the German TÜV it is not allowed... maybe later... first, It must be as stock as possible...

after 3 weekends of sanding and grinding, I sprayed the rear part of the inside with filler... It feels good to see how everything looks like... A first impression
Next step... to finish the underside... so the car will be turned to the side again...
cheers...

this is just awesome!!
the amount of good work here is just immense!!
this looks a hell of a lot better than factory finish, a real credit to you Cyril! Cant wait to see the finished thing.
do you have some kind of timescale on it?

Really great work you are doing here, look forward to seeing in complete.
What kind of look will the finished car have? Like now or will it look more like a "race" car?

It's not going to be straight race car or sleeper... from outside I leave the car clean... no spoilers, just stock... inside will be more race style... cage, race fuel tank, short shifter, race style seats...

I changed a little bit my plans:
I'm not going to finish the underside first, as at this moment I don't know, if small modificatins has to be done. So first I grinded again the filler of the rear part and next weekend I will finish the front part.
After that I will do my first reassembling of ALL parts like the car will look like. The engine must run! Only then, I will finish the underside and prepare everthing for painting.
Some parts must be bought like fuel tank, katalysator, batteriebox, etc...
I also talked to my TÜV engeneer and he will have a last look when I am finished. This ensures there will be no problem to get TÜV.
so, the end comes closer![Smile](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
