Yeah well think i killed it this time Well after it broke down 3 times in one week i think i really killed it this time The car has a wierd nokking noise in the engine and won't boost anymore. Exhaust noise is much louder to. Don't know what happened but i think it died But then again if the engine didn't kill it the rust will So don't know what to do. engine rebuild or a complete rebuild. Or build the engine in my mk3 estate after i rebuild the engine. Don't know what to do.

Well after some thoughts i have decided to take the RSturbo apart. She is way to rusty For now i am going to rebuild the engine and think about the car that i want it in Not going high spec or something as i can't afford it . Anyway. I did solved the problem with the boost thing. The actuator rod was not connected. It came off . Fixed that thing. But the engine is still not running ok. Wierd nokking noise . i start stripping the RS next week or so. Have to save money for the Megasquirt system.

neh mate. Its a fam car. Not going to make any changes on the car. Well not a lot. Some 15"steel wheels and a bit of lowering. And new front and back bumpers. And its hard to find a 3dr here. And this one is rust free. Better then the MK4 RSt wich was rotten to the bone

A little update. I installed new piston rings but still didn't find any time to start rebuilding the engine. And as i have started my own bussines in cvh turbo parts etc etc i had to use one of my own inlet mani's . Still don't have finished pictures. Hope to get them asap.
Here pic of some of the parts built on a old MFI head.

RSi cover and bosch 306cc injectors.

Little update. The last 2 days i was at Gregor to help him with the loom for his MS. He also got a little present for me. Got a 2wd cossie Turbo. So or i have to make a downpipe for it or i have to bolt a std housing on it. (for now) so i can get it running before EFE this year. and get it mapped. Also got a set of bonnet spaces or what ever the name is, so i can let out the heat a bit during sprints. Some dodgy pictures of the new sourced parts:

Thanks. My thoughts were right. Just checked it at my local Ford dealer. Was used on the 50 - 100 MK3 that were used to check how the KE-Jet with cat was working...

That inlet looks well smart. dont surpose you can tell me the measurements of the box section could ya. gunna make one myself and it saves time on working specifics out, also does it have trumpets at all .

Oh and what thickness is the ally and did you bent it into a sqaure shape then just weld 1 seam instead of 4 serperate pieces welded together .

Well Since ive lost one of my rod caps cant use the RSt rods anymore. Very smart thing to do Anyway i am running out of budget i allready did but don't want to make it worse than it is I rebuilt an 3i EFI engine and using that for the year so i can save money to buy some turbo bits for the engine that i am going to build by the end of this year. Anyway here some pics for the ones who are intrested:
Engine in after some problems whit the top engine mount(i know now that there is a huuuge difference between the mk3 and mk4 item).

Relay board for the MEgasquirt

The ecu behind the dash

Put on some wheels ive got. Yes it needs lowering Getting a 40mm set next week

Not a bad thing at all!
Forever seeing endless RS models is what's boring.....

I speak from experience as my current two Escorts are a Mk4 5 door Estate N/A 2.0 Zetec, and a Mk3 LHD 1.1L 3 door hatch with a big power turbo lump going in

Electric mirrors and a good GL+ spec dash would be nice

Well time to do an update.finaly found some time. So started to strip the EFI engine and going to make it turbo ready . The engine it self is in perfect condition. Apart from the crank . The crank shows some serieus damage. Shells are completly gone. Scratches all over. But no worry. I have 2 of them. Here some pics.
Engine stripped

Damage crank.

My "snale" collection. 2x erst T3 and 1 cossie T3
