Gave up with buyin a modern car for now, Ill stick with the old Belmont and maybe even make a start building my XE engine again, its came to a halt the past month or so. Once thats sorted and in place Im gonna buy myself a Fireblade I think as its too much to insure an R1.

As for another Cossie.....................Well its inevitable really, we shall see what comes along.

Excellent project mate

Certainly not a job for the fainthearted and fair play to you for taking on such a complicated conversion

Gonna be mental when she's finished

Yes i have mounted it in the same place as a cvh or zetec would go, i done this so i didnt have to modify shafts etc so if they break i can just bolt another one in, all the mods have been done pulley side of the car because of this, as for the flywheel i used a standard cossie one and had the outside of it machined down to the same diamater as the rst one so i still have the 9 bolt fixing and strengh, then machined the flywheel to take the clutch and heated the old ring gear up and dropped it on, job done

yes i can get to the bolt if i drop the mounts off and lower the engine, as for turbo the one pictured is a big beefy turbo so im on the look out for a standard 2wd one as their smaller, failing that i will make a sandwich adapter between the turbo and manifold to sit the turbo an inch back or somewhere abouts.

yes ava did do this, but i have ample room really, it just needs sitting back an inch and with the smaller 2wd turbo i should get a pipe on it fine mate
