New fuel tank fitted and decided to cover the alloy door cards in carbon fibre to finish them off a little!

However........due to a few things, i.e space, cash flow and mainly my other Fiesta RS turbo project, sadly the YB RS might have to go!!!

So, if anyone is interested in owning this special car let me know before i change my mind!

Why did u change the fuel tank as i wasnt aware there was a problem with the last, did you change it for a proper rst tank with the swirl pot in ?

Noticed a few things in the ad that have been changed since i built it all, like the front brakes have different discs on now as they where brand new drilled when i had it only done 500 miles ?, also i see the fan plug on the fan switch by the intercooler has been removed, why have you done that it ? all came in and out fine, gauge was 10 degrees out on the hot side but all worked fine, all this is just out of curiousity not judging anyone, Paul.

Hi Paul,

I have not changed either of them, didn't even notice the disks where different to be honest??? but the guy i bought it from said that he had re-wired the fan to run constantly which it does now! as you say there are no issues with it overheating, so not sure why he did that?

Will check those disks later, but pic does def look like they are different, hmm?

What a twat wiring in the fan constant thats just gonna burn the wiring out, i would put it back to normal if i was you, otherwise its gonna start getting bodged and be unreliable etc, it never overheated like i say the temp gauge reads 10 degrees over on the hot side so you will notice the gauge will read 92 then the thermostat will open (82 degree) and it will drop back down, fan comes in at 102 on the gauge then comes back out after a minute or so like it should depending on the outside temp obviously, that bloke is just a bell end who obviously knows fuck all.

Hi Paul,

Checked the front discs yesterday and they are definatly drilled, must just be that pic, alloys hiding them.

Took it out for a little blast to get the videos done i have added to the fleabay lisiting, still scares me every time i put me foot down, wish i had the space, time and money to keep it really.

Had loads of interest in it, i just ideally want to make sure it goes to someone who will give it the finishing touches it needs, not someone who wants to strip it for bits etc etc.

My fiesta is in for painting/prepping this weekend so when that comes back need to get it built back up and finished, so the rs needs to go, you dont wanna buy it back do ya?? lol.

Shame really, just hope the new person isnt buying it to stripp it for bits as the engine wont be any good to re-use in a sierra again due to a few things so only worth keeping as it is.

I cant really remember mate to be honest, we just built it as and when, if i came across another yb cheap i might do it again for a bit of fun. The hard work was in pipe work, heat shields, wiring etc the fiddly jobs, the cutting and welding wasnt really a problem.

yeah it was running stage 3 greens etc, needed a better turbo as the one i had on it was just for mock up really, also needed a bigger intercooler but apart from that was good, not as bad as people thought it would be round bends due to the weight etc. Still managed to strip the teeth off the main shaft in 400 miles, 80% of those was run in miles so was on it second box when i let it go, if anyone knows where it is now let me know, if it hasnt been stripped
