I've not been in to do any work on her tonight as i did not get home till 8 PM. Had a bit of a get together to go to next door as some good friends came over from down under for 3 weeks and their going back in the morrning . I wont be doing much tomorrow as we have got to work through the night But ive not got to go in till 11 AM . And iv got to work the next 2 saturdays down swindon so sorry to say not a lot is going to be done over this weekend . But on a PLUS side i was told that DEAN had been down and done some work on the final door prep, so all being well the doors boot and bonnet might be paint by next weekend!!!

I had a phone call yesterday of my mate REX and he told me he was down at a ford dealer near us and had asked about a part for me. They said they could still get the part so i payed for it and it came today!!
Ł91 I know its a lot but if you want it to look right you sometimes have to pay for it . Well the cossy shop on EBAY said he was selling the last one which made me bid upto Ł125 and it went for Ł128 so i think i did alright . Oh and this weekend we are going ot make a list for ford to have a look at to see what they can still get for me. Also my builder phoned today to say he is starting on the roof on monday and all the stuff is coming tomorrow at last!!!

Ok then, have been busy over the weekend. Took me ages to clean the roof lining but with a bit of elbow grease it hasnt come up too bad........ note the shell has NO SUNROOF so this is the only lining i could get my hands on
I later on moved the car else where as the garge roof is finally being sorted from today , i've more parts on order through ford so should have more of an update towards the later part of the week!!
Forgot to mention, any ideas where i might track down a new interior light? (not the bulb)

it will probably be a common interior light used in all the 80's cars more than likely, i.e seirras, fiesta, escorts.
Glad to see its coming along quickly still and work hasnt slowed up much

quick tip to finish off that bay a treat
whilst your braking system is apart take off the abs brake reservoir (easy to do) give it a good scrub with a nail brush soaked in green swarfega then give it a good soak with the cap off in hot soapy water with some bleach in it for good measure - leave it a day then swill out and dry it out fully with a hairdrier - they come up like new.
Always spoils a mint bay for me seeing one not looking its best when everything else around it is fresh

Done abit more on the car over the weekend. Due to being away all week i can't get that much done but heres an update anyway....
Finally moved the car back to the garage after having the roof sorted and decide to start in the rear of the car fitting the cards, seatbelts and trial fitting the seats....
Not concourse but not far away........the parcel shelf.........
At the minute im really pleased with the results so far, it is hard as majority of the parts are 20 years old + and i've got to make do with what i have today. Obviously when/if better condition parts become avaliable in the future i'll replace such items.
I reakon majority of the full interior will be in place within the next month then i'll be moving on to the underneath of the car and hopefully have it back on its wheels in the not to distant future!!
Again thanks for the support everyone!!
