Been busy today getting the shell out the garage and moving on with the prepping stage. This is the first time ive managed to get a propper good look of the underside................

So pushed on and started to do a bit of rubbing down.........notice the old roll cage points which im not happy with, these will be cut out and replaced.....

Possibly one of the worst parts of the car is round wheel well as this is not the original piece of the car, its been grafted in but its well rusty, nothing that can't be sorted tho

Going to be doing a bit more tonite as help is at hand, keep a look out for updates this week as major progress is happening

Finished off a bit more last nite..............

Rear quarter is getting there now......

The red you see on the door is where the door skin is pushed in, it has a slight crease above the handle too, so the door is coming off and taken to the body shop to be sorted....

This is how the one side is starting to look now...........

Before i called it a night i had a quick go on the other quarter, going to be carrying on this morning and see how far i get on...........

Little update here, dosen't look alot but believe me its been a fair graft...

Think i got to around about here last time ............

Started on the back quarter, really glad the red and blue stripes are beggining to disapear.....

A front view...............

Few random shots including the start of the N/S quarter......

Carried sanding the car from the quarter around where the door fits and this week spent grafting the floor and boot section so i could at least get some sort of primer on it.

Here is a before shot i have of it.........

Heres the floor how it stands now.........

Should have some more updates in the next day or two........

Right iv been in there all day working on her

1st we got some very nice new paint on the floor and then some sound deadning mats down......... PROPER JOB

2nd we then scotched it all down again and put some primer over the lot again as i want all the mats white the same as the floor and we had to paint the floor first to make it water tight and not rust under the mats

The weather in brum was shit so i could not do the under neath as i wanted to so lets see what i can get done tomorrow....

Well car has been back on its side, the underneath has had the last parts of rust treatment applied, all the seem sealing has been done then it was etched primed then it was stone guarded in white stone guard. Left to dry then coated with a layer of primer. Final coat of white will be added before it goes to the body shop

Heres the pics of today................

Obviously more updates will be up soon

Its not that hard mate i can get it over myself but it tacks 2 of us to get it back over onto it wheels

i made 2 frames out of uni strut 41x41 twin wall . I used twin wall as its shapped like a ( H ) so i can take it off and turn it round and tip the shell the over way and gose inside the chassie and bolts throw the holes were the bumpers bolts on .

It stays on all the time now as we can wheel it in and out as we need and roll it over in 2 min flat and it will only take 5 min to take it off. when iv done with all the frames iv made to do this job they will be for sale and i wont be asking the earth for them

Done a bit more tonight whilst the weather is crap outside, spent 4 hours rubbing the drivers door frame down. The body man has been down doing a bit on the wings getting them ready for primer all being well tommorow nite.
Gonna try and get as much prepping done as poss in the engine bay also then the car can be spun round to start on the other side!!

Anyway enough of all that heres some progress pics of tonights work.......

Had enough tonight, gonna rest my fingers and have a cup of tea, thanks again to everyone leaving the positive feedback too

Cheers mate, the plan is to build to original spec bar a few mods to the engine, should look like it rolled off the production line at ford when done with a bit of luck
